Emilia's goodbyes to her father and brothers were bitter sweet. She was happy to be rid of them, but in a strange way she'd miss them. Her mother and Marisol had both hugged her and kissed her. Saying they love her repeatedly until she was gone. Emilia was on the plane for twelve hours in her first class seat. She had been saving her spare change, babysitting money, and allowance for years. Her father never protested when family dropped the young ones off for her to watch. Thought it'd be great practice for the future. But since she never went anywhere, her money all went into a jar for this reason. Her freedom. She had a good little stepping stone for awhile. Walking through the airport there, Emilia was in awe of everything. After gawking and even enjoying some food at one of the restaurants there, Emilia hailed a cab and took pictures of everything they passed. When her phone pinged Emilia sighed seeing Ricardo calling. She wanted to ignore it but she knew she couldn't. Answering Emilia smiled at her brother, "Come on bro, I just landed chill." Ricardo sighed exhausted with his sister's attitude, "Come on sis, shoot me for worrying." Emilia smirked at him, "I didn't know that was an option!" Ricardo laughed caught off guard with her cheekiness. Emilia was always polite and silent. But she seemed to be coming out of a shell, one their father no less shoved her into. "How is it going there?" Emilia's face brightened up and she turned the phone. Ricardo could admit Dublin was a beautiful place from what he could see. "Bro this place is so beautiful! I don't want to leave!" Ricardo laughed, "Well good night from over here little sister, be safe. I love you." Emilia blew him a kiss, "Good afternoon from over here big brother. Love you too." When they signed off Emilia hummed in content as they began pulling up to the college. Grabbing her bags Emilia went to the main office and was shown around the school. When she made it to her singular room, Emilia unpacked her stuff. Her school schedule arrived and she decided to see what was going on somewhere. Putting on a red skater skirt with black knee length boots, she put on a black halter knit top. Grabbing her wallet, jacket, and scarf, Emilia walked around for a while, and then found herself in a pub. Walking to the bar, she grabbed the menu and looked up when a shadow in cased her. "Hi, can I get a cheeseburger, with bacon, and a beer?" Emilia said all this without looking at the waiter. She could tell it was a man because of his aftershave. But she was too busy trying to decide on a desert. "Anything sweet with that love?" Emilia looked up into the blue eyes of the man talking. And damn... He was handsome, with pale skin, a mop of black hair, and crystal blue eyes. He smiled at Emilia teasingly and she blushed. "Um no that'll be all." The man winked at her and she looked away not sure how to respond to that. As she was playing on her phone, she was unaware of the eyes on her. Carter looked at the little American girl again and his cousin chuckled, "She's hot." Smacking his older cousin's chest he sneered, "f**k off. She's...I don't know. Different somehow." Marcellus, was a cocky and smart mother fucker. He was handsome and he knew it, and with him being captain of the Soccer Team he didn't need anything else to pull girls. But from some reason, Carter didn't want to see this one being prayed upon. When his uncle called him to the back, Carter warned him with his eyes not to bother her. But Marcel didn't listen. Walking over to the cute little girl he smirked down at her, "Hi." Emilia looked up at the heavy Irish accent and was disappointed when it wasn't the other guy. This guy was a pretty blonde with green eyes and a strong jaw. He was smiling at her cockily and asked, "How you doing love? Want anything else? On me." Emilia smiled a little uncomfortable at what he was implying, "Um, another beer, and a huge slice of chocolate cake. Thanks." Marcel frowned shocked she hadn't heard his implied statement. He had used that line a thousand and ten times, it usually got him p***y after work or head in the bathroom. But when he stood there shocked at her response, Emilia started to bolt in confusion. Carter and Marcellus' father, Nicholas, came out and saw her frightened face as Marcellus scowled at her. "Marcel!" Carter sneered, he popped his cousin on the head, "Go away! Now." Marcellus shrugged it off and walked away and Carter looked at the small female. "You alright love?" Emilia looked to the guy's name tag and softly said, "I'm fine Carter, thank you." Carter almost did a jig hearing her say his name. It was weird but for some reason the sound gripped him. Emilia put her jacket down and whispered, "I had asked for another beer and a piece of chocolate cake, can I still have it?" Carter started to get it, but Nicholas waved him off, "I'll get it." He pushed Carter closer to the bar so he stood closer to Emilia. Carter looked at him as he made a gesture to talk to her. Carter rolled his eyes and looked at Emilia, "So you an American?" Emilia nodded, "Yeah. Phoenix, Arizona." Carter smiled, "How is it there?" Emilia shrugged, "Nice but I lived there all my life so it was time for a change in scenery." Carter grinned, "Oh so you came halfway across the world for it? Most go to another state." Emilia smirked, "Go big or stay home." Carter laughed enjoying this girls presence more than anything. She was refreshing and funny, not to mention...real. When Nicholas laid down the chocolate cake and beer for her, she shyly asked Carter if he could take his break now. Carter was shocked since he was sure she would have shooed him off. But he sat with her and they talked as she enjoyed her cake and beer. He even had one with her. When it was getting late, Carter called her a cab and waited with her on the sidewalk. "So you're here for school right?" Emilia agreed and Carter smiled, "Cool. Maybe I'll see you there, I go to Trinity too." Both smiled and agreed to see each other around. When Carter watched her go, he smiled a little. "Now wait till she get's to school and everyone tells her the "nice guy" she met is a criminal psycho." Carter turned and saw his cousin glaring at him with a smug smile. Carter looked down before simply pushing past his cousin. He didn't want to admit it, but his cousin had a point. He would in no way be able to explain away what everyone else thought of him. Not when there was some truth to it...
