Demetrio leaves the conference room a few minutes before Emeliana and as he does, he can walk freely, feeling as if a huge weight has been lifted off his chest and he can finally breathe. He’s glad he’s taken the right steps towards forgiving Emeliana, not just that but also making this alliance with the Genovese brothers worthwhile. He knows that being civil with them will benefit him and his Family in the long term so he might as well give it a shot.
Not just that, but Emeliana giving Demetrio her blessing for Demetrio and Amethyst to move on is the icing on the cake. Demetrio would’ve expected Emeliana to act weird about Demetrio and Amethyst especially since she is close to Amethyst. He’s glad that that wasn’t the case this time.
