Chapter 13

“I refuse and will not, kill my best friend for your selfish interest, deal with it, king!” Greg said, and left Basha’s chambers.

Basha groaned in anger, he paced back and forth in his chambers, thinking of what next to do. He instructed his armies to go in search of Greg and Alloy, and put them in prison, Basha became desperate, just like his brother Zhara, who wanted everything for himself, not minding the implications it would cause.

Outside Aknok, Greg and Alloy, ran with their horses non stop, as the armies of Basha chased after them, they ran into the land of Mohill, and hid themselves there. The armies of Aknok rode back home to inform king Basha about Alloy and Greg’s hidden place.

At night, king Basha and his armies, invaded the land of Mohill without Bronza’s knowledge, War took place immediately at Mohill, Bronza’s armies weren’t prepared for the war, Their weapons were not enough, some of their armies were asleep, Basha went into Bronza’s chamber, and slit his throat while asleep. “Kill everyone, burn down everything you see.” Basha commanded his armies.

The peaceful kingdom of Mohill and the innocent people that lived in the land, were all killed and properties burnt down by Basha and his armies, yet he wasn’t satisfied, after which he killed his close friend Bronza and his sister Gigi, he wanted more, he sent his armies in search of Greg, Alloy, and Melie, who fought their way out of Mohill, without being killed by Basha’s armies. While on the run from Mohill kingdom, Melie cried helplessly in Alloy’s arms, she lost her twin sister and her brother in the hands of Basha. She swore to avenge her siblings death some day.

Greg, Alloy, and Melie, traveled to a very far kingdom, where Basha and his armies would never trace them, there they started a new life, where peace and love grew everyday amongst the villagers, Melie and Alloy got married eventually, while Greg fell in love with a lady named, Diana, from another kingdom, Diana’s father was a wealthy noble man, he was known for his influence.

Diana told her father about her love for Greg, and her father insisted that Greg must live in their kingdom, and not far away from his only child. Greg decided to move to Diana’s kingdom, there he got married to Diana and they both had two sons named, Luther and Judas, unfortunately, Diana died, immediately after the birth of Judas.

Alloy and Melie visited Greg from time to time, their distance weren’t a barrier to their friendship. It took years for Melie to conceive, in the third year, Melie conceived of a baby girl, named, Hazel.

Hazel was the daughter of Alloy and Melie, while Luther and Judas, were the sons of Greg and Diana.

After several years, Melie decided to seek revenge of her siblings death, caused by Basha and his armies, they went along with the armies from Greg’s kingdom and the armies from their own kingdom, they drew out plans on how to strike, Greg and Alloy sketched the inner chambers of Aknok and how they would destroy it. They all traveled to the land of Aknok, with enough weapons and armies.

When they arrived at Aknok, they invaded into the kingdom without a sign, which Basha was taken unaware of their presence, a war began at Aknok, they fought endlessly, clanging sounds of swords and slitting of throats, the land of Aknok was stained with blood, mostly, the blood of Basha’s armies.

The war took days, but Melie never gave up, she fought with every strength she had, on the seventh day, they conquered Basha, his armies, and the land of Aknok, Melie walked towards Basha where he laid on the ground breathless and in a pool of blood, after receiving multiple stabs from Alloy, she brought out her sword, just as she was about to slit his throat, Basha stabbed her at her stomach with a poisonous sword, she used the last strength she had and immediately slit Basha’s throat, and he died instantly, She fell to the ground, bleeding from her mouth non stop.

“Nooooo!!” Alloy screamed as he rushed to Melie who lay lifeless on the floor, Alloy carried her in his arms as he weeps bitterly.

He stood up with Melie’s body in his arms, just as he was about to turn, he saw Greg's body on the floor, he quickly rushed to Greg, and saw an arrow pierced into his chest, the arrow contained poison, which slowly ate his heart as he bleeds out.

“Greg,! Greg! Oh nooooo! Greg.” Alloy groaned in pain.

Greg placed Alloy’s hand on his bleeding chest, and made him promise, that his son Luther, must marry Hazel, to keep their bloodline. Alloy promised Greg that he would definitely keep their bloodline. Greg gave out a soft laugh, and said, “Thank you” he whispered softly, and died instantly, Alloy carried Melie’s body and Greg’s body to the chariot, he rode home with the rest of the armies.

He took Greg’s body to his kingdom where he was buried, while, he took his wife’s body, Melie, to her favorite place and buried her beside a river, where she normally goes to swim.
