Once the girls disappeared down the hallway, I took one last look at the beautiful white gown before carefully hanging it in the closet.

Julie’s words echoed through my mind, making my cheeks heat all over again.
I quickly pushed the thought aside.
There was no point thinking about something that might never happen.
Instead, I headed downstairs in search of someone who could distract me from my increasingly complicated thoughts.
I found Liam sitting in the lounge room.
“Hey,” I said, catching his attention. “I was thinking about going for a run. Want to come with me?”
He glanced toward the hallway before looking back at me.
“We probably need to ask the Alpha first.”

“I’m pretty sure he’ll survive without knowing where I am for an hour.”
