Alpha Doyle On our way downstairs we stopped off at the laundry room and dropped off the wet clothes to Mary, one of our many housekeepers, before continuing to make our way downstairs to the living room where the others were already waiting for us. As we made our way into the room, Sean got up from his seat in the lounge room and made his way towards us. Lena stopped in her tracks as Sean approached us. I could sense Lena was growing uneasy, so I let go of her arm and ran my hand across her back in a gesture meant to be reassuring and soothing, but it surprised me when she startled at my touch and pulled away from me. I glanced at Sean and saw that he was looking just as surprised as I felt by Lena’s reaction to my touch. Sean came to a stop in front of us. Looking at Lena, he said,
