The One Night Stand

Chapter 7

Alyssa's P.O.V

I laid down on my bed, exhausted... I sighed out as I remembered today's events.

Hot stuff was my boss.

'Ride on hard' rang in my ears and I sprang up from my bed, trying to get rid of those lewd thoughts. He was my boss... I shouldn't think of all these when I see him.

I dialed Jess's number and she picked on the third ring.

"Whats'up sis?"

"Yeah... Jess can you come over?" I said, biting down on my nails.

"Uhmm.. I'm finishing up from work and I'll stop by on my way home. Do you want anything?" I thought for a second and realized I hadn't eaten all throughout the day making my stomach grumble.

"Please get me some Chinese take out. That's what I'm craving at the moment."

"Okay then.. see you soon." I mutter a 'bye' and cut the call. I immediately remove my office clothes and go into the shower to ease my tired muscles. I stayed in there for a while and then came out, putting on some sweatpants and a big shirt leaving my hair out to dry. The doorbell rang as I dropped the towel in the laundry basket.

"Heyy..." I said not too cheery.

"And why do you sound like an emotional whale?" I give her a nasty look to which she just shrugs her shoulders and dropped the food on the coffee table.

I take my Chinese and plopped down on a sofa across her.

"Today is probably the most embarrassing day I've had in a long time." I sighed out and took a bite of my orange chicken.

"And why is that?" She said in a muffled voice as her mouth was filled up with food. I rolled my eyes at her bad manners.

"Let your mouth be food free and ask me again." She slowly chews and when she's done, she opens her mouth wide for me to see making me chuckle.

"I said what I said... you just have to answer." I sighed out and took a spoon of rice.

"My one night stand is my boss." I said, and immediately finding my food very interesting as I didn't want to meet Jess's eyes.

"What?!!"

"Yeah.... it turns out I slept with the one and only Daniel Ross and now I'm working as his secretary. " I told her.

"Okay... I was not expecting this at all. How? You should've known it was him the day of your interview." And then I got ready to narrate to her.

"Daniel wasn't the one who interviewed me.. it was his friend, the guy I told you I turned down s*x from... yeah... apparently he was just trying to help Daniel cause he was in a meeting that day and couldn't make out time to interview me... and then today Daniel decides to hold a meeting and that's where I meet him... on the podium... introducing himself as the CEO... to say I was shocked is an understatement... and after the meeting, his friend introduces me to Daniel as his secretary and then my life went downhill from there... We go to Daniel's office and he wanted to give me an 'idea' of what I would be doing for him but I wasn't able to concentrate cause he indirectly kept on talking about when we had s*x but in a business manner... do you understand what I mean?" She shook her head and I sighed out.. this was going to be stressful.

"He spoke about how he liked his employees to ride on hard and-" and Jess burst out laughing whereby I wished I could melt into the sofa.

"He did not do that! Please tell me he didn't say that in front of people."

"Nope... I might have actually fainted right there if he did that and you know what, it seems his friend knows we had s*x. Jess, I don't know if I can be able to work there after all these." I said, looking at my fingers moodily. I felt water on my face almost immediately. I immediately glared at Jess whereby she wasn't moved by my intense nasty look and kept on eating.

"You should know this is reality Alyssa and you need this job. So what you had s*x with the CEO? You want to throw away an almost perfect job cause of that? That would be really shitty Lyss and I would be mad. You know what's up with you and how you need the money. You don't have to act like anything happened between the both of you.. if you don't have feelings for him then I don't see any reason why you should feel awkward."

"Feelings? As if. I guess I actually needed that water wake up call. Thanks a lot Jess.. I would stand up to hug you but this chicken is really good." This time, it was her turn to throw me a nasty look to which I grinned cheekily and continued eating my food.

"Who knows?"

"Who knows what?"

"Who knows? You might catch feelings along the way... then you can think about being in deep shit."

"Feelings are the last things you should expect from me." I told her firmly to assure her I wouldn't even if a teeny whinny part of me was in denial.
