The big day

940 Words
Kiara's best friend Amara greeted her in the only way she knew how, "Good morning, boss lady", she chirps as she elegantly walks towards me. Although Kiara hated Amara, referring her to as boss lady, she couldn't help but smile fondly at Amara as Kiara has always been fond of their banter. "You know you must stop calling me that; I hate it!" Kiara gave her a friendly and knowing smile. Amara could always hold a room with how captivating she was. Strength and confidence rolled off of her mixed with a certain lure of kindness so she didn't come off intimidating, just enough to gain respect by most. For this, Kiara was genuinely relieved knowing she had Amara's support for the meeting. Not to mention she was absolutely beautiful, tall, slim and muscular build. Shoulder length blonde hair that shaped her face so well. Strikingly blue eyes that could fool you into thinking you were looking into a crystal clear lake and a set of breasts and bottom that would make any man take a second look with a hitched breath. Amara giggled at Kiara response, shrugged her shoulders and continued walking towards the entranceway. As they approached the doors she turned to me and with a wink asked " you ready for the meeting of a lifetime boss lady?" Once again Kiara rolled her eyes but said nothing as thhey pushed the doors open both feeding off each others matching energies of determination and anticipation. Before Kiara and Amara were fully in business mode Amara wanted to remind Kiara what today was. "So are you excited about being the most successful 21 this city has ever seen?" Kiara scoffed "Amara we haven't even signed a deal yet, I'm not really focusing on the fact I'm turning 21 today". Kiara looked at her best friend, knowing full well she had something up her sleeve, otherwise she wouldn't have brought it up. "Too bad, I've already organised you a celebratory lunch for not only signing your new business deal but your birthday as well!" Kiara found humor in the fact that she knew her friend so well but she couldn't help notice the slight hestitaion Amara had when she talked about it. She hid it well under all the excitement but Kiara knew very well that Amara left out details but she couldn't worry about that right now, too much was on the line. She had an important business meeting that could determine the future of her company, and she was feeling the weight of the responsibility on her shoulders. But she was also grateful to have Amara by her side, both as a friend and as a business partner. The Oakley, the venue for their meeting, was a stunning space that never failed to take their breath away. The high ceilings, glass windows, and beautiful color palette created a modern yet homely atmosphere. The fairy lights added a magical touch that made it feel like a place straight out of a fairy tale, much like their beloved city. As they approached the reception desk, they were greeted by a friendly lady named Marge who directed them to the elevator. Kiara couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation as they rode the elevator to the 10th floor, where their meeting was taking place. The hallway leading to the meeting room was just as stunning as the rest of the venue, with deep blue walls and redwood timber flooring. The wall-length mirror in the hallway caught Kiara's eye, and she couldn't help but admire herself for a moment before continuing down the hallway to Room 2. As they pushed open the doors to the meeting room, Kiara felt a sense of relief wash over her. They were the first ones to arrive, giving her a chance to compose herself before the rest of the attendees arrived. She took a deep breath, feeling grateful for the support of her best friend and business partner on this important day As Kiara and Amara got ready for a crucial presentation, Kiara asked Amara if she had everything in order. Amara nodded and replied that they were almost ready, just waiting for the presentation to load. Kiara nodded her approval and went over her notes one more time to ensure that she was fully prepared for the upcoming meeting. Amara noticed Kiara's preparation and spoke up, telling her that she was born for this and that she needed to start believing in herself. The words seemed to resonate with Kiara, and she felt more confident and ready to take on whatever was coming their way. Before Kiara could ask Amara to elaborate on her comment, she could hear chatter starting to fill the hallway outside the meeting room. Amara quickly reassured Kiara once again, telling her that she had every faith in her and that she was going to knock their socks off. She reminded Kiara that anyone who didn't see great potential in her was a new kind of i***t. Kiara gave Amara a look of gratitude before sharing a cheeky hug. "I'm not sure where I would be without you," Kiara said. Amara couldn't help but reply, "Oh, definitely still in a ditch somewhere." Kiara couldn't help but notice Amara's reference to the past and wondered what it was about. However, instead of dwelling on it, she gave herself one last hair, make-up, and outfit fix. "Alright, let's get this business deal signed," she said to herself. Amara gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, unaware that this meeting was going to be life-changing in more ways than they could have ever expected.
