Second Stage

As I set my foot on the last step, I can see something moving and glowing in the water. Then I heard it. The sound of Trimorins. But there are only a few left in the whole world. I only saw one in my whole life. They look freaking scary and glows cyan blue in dark. They are called Trimorins because their head looks like a piranha fish, their upper body looks like a snake and their tails look like a sea horse. If they get a whiff of prey, they will not leave it until they eat it. Shit, what am gonna do? Right now I am glad that I didn’t get hurt from those chains otherwise they would have leapt up at me. I think I should go up back and check if there is anything of use. I crept up slowly. Thank god these stairs are made of cement otherwise, they would have been broken by now. I started to look around when I felt something on my left leg. I looked down to check what is it and my eyes went wide. A f*****g snake, a deadly one at that. What else can go wrong? I tried my best to stay still but just as I tried to take out my sword, he bit me. I quickly shoved my torch to his face from which he got scared and ran away. Now I have to do something or I will die. I frantically looked around searching for cavinari. They are only found in caves and are the only cure for the poison of this snake. I saw it on a wall opposite side of the room. I have to reach there. My vision is getting blurry and my body is losing its strength. Torch slipped from my hand and I fell to the ground. “No. I have to do it. I have to do it for my people” the same sentence kept repeating in my head. I started to crawl. The wall is in front of me. I just have to get up to reach the herb. My eyes are closing. No, I can’t stop after coming this far. I mustered all my strength and got up. I plucked it from its stem and quickly placed into my mouth and chewed it. I sat against the wall to rest. The herb immediately started effects and I felt my strength coming back. I got up and ate some more, so the poison will be detoxified completely. I picked up my torch, looking for something useful. Bloody hell, there is nothing else besides these chains. “Think Nina there must be something that I am missing. I should check downstairs again, maybe I will something” I said shrugging. I went down once again but this time looking around. This time I saw it. f*****g yes, there is a wooden slab from this side to another on the right wall. I just have to figure out a way to climb there. “Think, think, think. Idea” I snapped my fingers. I climbed back up. I started to pull out the chains and because they are old some of them broke. I took two big chains and five middle-sized one. I tied them together with the help of clothe, I tore from my sleeves. I took them and with me and started looking for the perfect angle so I can throw the sharp ends on a wooden slab. After looking for some time, I found the perfect angle from the fourth step from last. I threw it and Bingo! I threw my hands in the air in excitement. I quickly climbed on the ladder cautiously, with the torch in my hand. Oh god, I don’t think this wood will last for long. I better get to the other side. I started to crawl on my all four and the slab squeaked. I can see the trimorins, right below me. They are circling like they are waiting for me to fall, which they are. When I was near the end, the slab broke from a side and I lost my balance. My torch went right into the water and darkness surrounded the whole place. I am hanging down with my hands holding the remaining slab. Those trimorins leapt up, trying to grab my leg. As the torch is not here anymore, the only light is glow emitted by the trimorins and a speck of light on the other side. I pulled myself up and in the process, some small particles of wood penetrated my hand. In the end, I jumped down, running towards the door that will lead me to the third stage. But I stopped just outside the door when a thought struck me. “Wait a minute. It is a challenge to win the humwarior stone, it can’t be that simple. There has to be a twist.” “Well, you thought right princess” I took out my sword. “Who are you?” A figure emerged from the water. “I am the guardian of this place and I am impressed that you didn’t fell into the trap” “Trap. What trap?” “Well, you see princess. If you have opened the door. You would have been thrown in lava” Oh god. I am horrified. “But if that isn’t the door, where is the real door?” “Well I can’t tell you that but I can give you a hint. ‘The world is full of illusion. Only your awakening will lead you to your destination' That’s all I can say” saying that his water form busted. What does that even mean? “I should calm down and clear my head. I sat down and started thinking. Illusion means what I am seeing right now is not real. “Ok if that door leads to a volcano that means the other thing that can be fake are those trimorins. I should try first if they are real or not” I took off one of my armlets and threw it into the water and to my surprise, the water blurred but the figure of trimorins blurred along with it. That means those trimorins are not real. I should step down into the water. As I put my first step in the water, the water level started going down and fully disappeared and a small tunnel opened. I have no other choice but to go through this. I crawled inside in hope of reaching the next stage.
