I changed into a beautiful emerald green gown with golden linings on the neck.
I put on my crown and the hairpin brought by Henry. It really suits me. I recalled my todays encounter with him. It made me blush.
I composed myself. Let's just get over with this dinner.
I walked out of the chambers. Josh was nowhere in sight. Instead of him, there was another guard present.
I looked at him with questioning eyes.
“Your Highness. There was an assassin trying to sneak into your room. Josh saw him. He got injured while fighting, so he is in medical chambers. He assigned me to escort you to the dining.”
“What is your name??”
“Stephen, Your Highness”
“Take me to the medical chamber. I will go to the dining later”
“Yes Your Highness”
He must be severely injured otherwise, he wouldn’t have assigned another guard for me.
As I was going inside the royal medical chamber, Stephen stopped me.
“Your Highness, he is not here. He is in the soldier's medical chamber”
I was really confused. Why was there?
“Why is he there? Shouldn’t he be in here? According to the law, royal guards are allowed to get treatment in royal chambers and by the royal doctor”
“Actually…” Stephen hesitated.
“Actually what?? Speak clearly”
“Your Highness, actually royal doctor refused to cure him. He said as Josh is not royal blood, he will not treat him” The f**k. Looks like the royal doctor has grown some balls as he is thinking he can break the law.
“Then, Let's go to the soldier medical chamber”
“Your Highness, I suggest you not go there. It's not the best place to go…..”
“I didn’t ask you. TAKE ME THERE” I am really angry right now and this Stephen is getting on my nerves.
“Yes, Your Highness” now he is afraid.
I walked inside. The condition of this place is really bad.
Gloomy and worn out walls. Rusty beds, Torn mattresses, dirty medical equipment. Judging from the condition of this place, I should have come here earlier. Many soldiers resting there. Nurses and doctors attending them.
There, at the end of the room, laid Josh. His chest covered in bandages.
As soon as they noticed me, they stood up and bowed. Josh didn’t even move. He is unconscious.
That damn doctor. He refused to treat his serious injury. He is definitely going to be punished.
“Rise” I said. “Everyone continues, whatever you were doing”
I walked towards his bed. An old nurse was attending him.
“How is his injury??” I asked her.
“Your Highness, he got a deep cut on his chest and some scratches here and there. His cut might get infected. Doctor Gu have asked the royal doctor for the cure. I think we will get it in a day or two”
“What do you mean by in a day or two?? Didn’t you just say that his cut might get infected? What if his cut gets infected? What will you do then?”
“I am so sorry Your Highness but we can’t do anything until we receive the prescription,” she said in an apologetic voice.
“Does this happen often?”
“Unfortunately yes Your Highness but no one will tell you that here. They all are scared” Right now if that mother fucker come in front of me now, I will kill him.
“Why?”
“Because the royal doctor threatened us with our job. He said if we tell anyone about it, then we will be no longer allowed to continue our job”
That b***h has the audacity to threaten people. He is taking advantage of his rank. He has broken many rules. Tomorrow he will have the trial.
“Stephen go right now and bring the royal doctor here”
“Yes Your Highness”

“Greetings, Your Highness” Finally the fucker is here.
“Rise” I said while gritting my teeth.
“Your Highness, excuse my behaviour but can I ask a question??” Now he is graceful.
“Ask”
“Why am I here??”
“Oh, you don’t know?” I said with fake politeness. He shook his head.
“Then why don’t I help you remember? Do you know this person?” I asked him and reality dawned on his face. Now he realized his mistake and fear reflected in his eyes. He really thought that I will not come here to check on my guard.
“Yo-Your Highness, I-I can ex-explain”
“Shut up your stuttering mouth. You not only refused to treat my personal guard but also refused to give prescriptions on time and according to what I have heard, this is not the first time. You also had the audacity to threaten people who work here to keep their mouth shut” Now he is shaking like a leaf.

“Arrest him” they quickly held him but he started thrashing around.
“If you don’t stop thrashing right now. I will order them to put in the same cage with my dear coco(tiger). I am sure you have heard about him” he went silent.
“Guards take him to the dungeons. His trial will be held tomorrow”
“Yes, Your Highness” they dragged him away.
I looked at that old lady and said,
“I am assigning you as Josh’s personal nurse until he is completely fine. Immediately call another doctor and tell him to attend Josh. He is immediately to be shifted to the royal medical chambers”
“Yes Your Highness”
“Let's Go, Stephen”
I came out and started walking towards dining. Another drama to attend.
As I reached the gate, I took a deep breath before entering.
Let the drama begin. With that, I opened the door.
