“Yeah,” Noah said, “it’s a really neat thing to see.” George and Mike invited them over for a wine-and-cheese party after dinner. They had to take side streets to get there, as the thoroughfares were clogged with traffic. Tom and Noah had purchased a couple of very nice bottles of wine for the occasion. Carl and Jim were there, as were a couple of guys they hadn’t previously met. Tom and Noah decided to brave the traffic and drove home somewhat circuitously, marveling at the lights in peoples’ yards and the luminaria displays.
