After coffee and cinnamon rolls had been passed around, they all found seats and they were able to begin the discussion of what the game plan was going to be for getting Aunt Sophie and Uncle Fredrick to leave Savannah alone. Savannah had informed her brothers of the Temporary Protection Order she had filed against their aunt and uncle and she told them of how the sheriff would be arriving to help keep the order in place. He would also be there should their aunt and uncle try to do anything. Tyler had to restrain himself from growling at the thought of Savannah’s aunt and uncle trying to forcibly remove her from here. He did not need her brothers learning that he was a werewolf before she was ready to tell them herself. That would have to be a whole other meeting at another time.
Before long there was a knock at the door and Tyler excused himself to go answer the door. When he got there, he was relieved to see it was Sheriff Coley at the door with two of his most trusted Deputies in tow. Tyler moved aside to let them enter the cabin and motioned for them to follow him into the kitchen where everyone else was sitting waiting for him to return from the door. The sheriff and the deputies kicked the snow off their boots before entering the cabin and followed Tyler. Savannah stood up from the table when she heard them enter and turned to greet Sheriff Coley. “Thank you so much for coming as fast as you did, Sheriff. I do not know how much time we have before my aunt and uncle track me down. I do not know if they have my exact whereabouts either. I just wanted you here in case they do know how to find me. I hope that with me not having cellular service that they can not track my phone's GPS.”
Sensing that Savannah was getting upset Tyler rounded the counter in the center of the kitchen wrapping his arms protectively around her waist and kissed her neck instantly calming her down. Her heart rate returned to normal and she seemed to be able to regain control over her breathing. Her brothers watched in astonishment at the effect Tyler had on their sister and wondered how on earth he had been able to calm her without so much as her fighting back. They had never been able to calm her as fast as Tyler just had. Once Savannah regained her composure the sheriff spoke,” Miss Gordon I can assure you that even if your aunt and uncle do manage to find you they will have no other choice but to leave immediately or be arrested. The TPO you signed makes it so that they can not be within 1,000 feet of you. The sheriff in Oconee County, Georgia assured me that they had been served the paperwork and that is probably why they are here in Montana.” Though Savannah knew Sheriff Coley was right she still had this undeniable fear deep within her. She knew that her aunt was relentless and would find anyway she could to try and force Savannah to return to Georgia with her. In fact, her aunt did not know that her brothers were here; she might try to use them as bait to lure her back. That is when Savannah got a brilliant idea, she would have jumped up if she had not already been standing with Tyler’s arms still wrapped around her.
“I think I have an idea everyone,” Savannah stated out of the blue. Everyone turned in her direction and waited for her to elaborate on her statement. “We all know that Aunt Sophie is relentless,” she said, motioning to her brothers and herself. “She will try anything and everything she can to try and get me to return to Georgia. She may even use y’all as bait. She does not know y’all are here correct?” her brothers shook their heads no and she proceeded. “We let her think she has the upper hand and when she tries to use Joe, Ben, and Mike we will have them step out from behind a building or the cabin and watch her flounder and trip over her words trying to fix her lies. Then we will have the upper hand and that is when we will bring up the TPO and tell her she has to leave or I am calling the sheriff, who will already be close by, and if she refuses to leave we give Sheriff Coley the signal and he will then arrest her. I do not want to have to deal with her any longer than it takes to get the upper hand and show her that I mean business with the TPO.”
After Savannah laid out her plan everyone seemed to like it and set to work finalizing any details that needed fine tuning. Once everything was set all they had to do was wait and see what their aunt had up her sleeves. Hopefully, the wait would not be too long as Tyler could see how much all this affected Savannah and he could not bear her suffering. It was his job as her mate to protect her and by letting her go through with her plan he was stepping outside his comfort zone but he planned to be right by her side so that should anything go wrong he could get her out of there without a moment's notice. He did not like her taking this big of a risk, but she had not told her brothers about them yet and he did not want to give anything away that she was not ready for them to know. For now, he would just have to keep her calm and centered the best way he knew how and that was by remaining at her side with at least one arm wrapped around her waist. Her brothers seemed to accept that when he did it the first time after Savannah started to panic at the thought of her aunt finding her through her phone GPS.
Once the plan was complete and everything was finalized all they could do now was wait. The waiting seemed to be the worst part of it all. They had no idea what was going to happen or if Aunt Sophie and Uncle Fredrick even knew where Savannah was. A few hours had passed since they had all sat down to come up with their game plan and they all knew that by now the plane that had been carrying their aunt and uncle had landed and it was only a matter of time before they knew just how much Aunt Sophie knew.
Sophie and Fredrick Bellamy landed at the Polson Airport and disembarked the plane. They knew their niece Savannah was here according to her most recent credit card transaction and because they had been served a Temporary Protection Order by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office that stated it originated in Polson, Montana by Savannah Gordon. They had been trying to find her since she disappeared from her home a few days ago. They had to get her back before Alpha Kennedy found out she had left and thought that Sophie and Fredrick and backed out of the deal to marry her to him. They knew that if they failed to return with the girl that their lives would be over. Alpha Kennedy would kill them for backing out of the deal that had been struck upon Savannah’s birth. Her parents knew nothing of the deal and though Sophie had tried hard to get Nathan to give her the girl he kept refusing. She could do nothing while the man lived and finally had grown tired of waiting. So, one-night last year they had come up with a plan to get rid of Nathan once and for all. They planned to kill him and take a grieving Savannah into their home and then force her to marry the Alpha as payment for their taking her in. However, when she refused to come stay with them and she kept refusing they had to find an alternate way to get her to the Alpha.
They had decided that they would just show up to the house and take Savannah saying that they had filed paperwork to have her hospitalized for her own safety. That they feared she would harm herself now that her father was gone. Sophie had been keeping tabs on Savannah and knew that she missed her father severely and could be deemed as a danger to herself and others by the judge that they had been paying off for years. He would then sign over paperwork that granted them a type of custody to Savannah and she would have no choice but to comply with everything they wanted her to do. However, before they could put that plan into motion Savannah took off. She ran away from them leaving them desperate to find her and bring her back, if only to save their own necks. Now they were finally close to finding her and they had to do so as quickly as possible.
