Sophie and Fredrick had to pick up Savannah’s scent somehow, but all this snow made that extremely hard. They had been able to track her car to the garage where it was being fixed but the mechanic did not know where Savannah was staying. All he knew was that Tyler Grier had told him when the car was fixed to call him, and he would pay for the repairs. He, however, refused to give out Tyler’s number and that left them with no choice, they had to kill him. Sophie hated getting her hands dirty, so she left that up to Fredrick while she went to look for the number they needed to track Savannah down. They did not plan to call the number, instead they planned to put it into their tracking program and see if they could get a GPS location. Then they would shift into their wolf forms and make it there in half the time it would take them to get there in a car.
Sophie found the number pinned to the corkboard in the office, she quickly took the paper down and walked back into the main garage where Fredrick had just finished making the mechanic’s death look like an accident with the car lift. She smiled at the work her husband had done, then she held up the paper that contained the number and waved it around triumphantly. “She has to be with him,” Sophie said as Fredrick punched in the number to the tracking program. “Or, at the very least he will know where she is staying.” Fredrick said. “Either way, we will find her and drag her ass back to Georgia and hand her over to Alpha Kennedy. We will finally be rid of the debt we owe him, Sophie. Then we can go on with our lives and forget this ever happened.” Soon, they heard a “ping” on the computer, and it showed a location in the middle of the north woods. They set the coordinates into their GPS device and placed the computer in the backpack before shifting into large light brown wolves. Sophie picked up the pack with her mouth and they set off to the location on the GPS. If they had been driving it would have taken them almost an hour to get there, in their wolf forms they would arrive in just under thirty minutes.
Tyler stiffened at a new smell around the cabin. It was not one of Savannah’s brothers, or the sheriff and deputies. They were all inside the house and he was outside getting some more wood for the fireplace. Tyler scanned his surroundings looking for anything to put to the new scents. When he could not find anything, he walked back into the house and placed the wood he had gathered into the rack by the hearth and went to find Savannah. He found her in the kitchen making another pot of coffee, “Hey, while I was outside, I had the sense that I was being watched. I also smelled two new scents that do not belong to anyone here. I want you on guard and to let your brothers know to be on guard. Do not tell them about me smelling anything, just tell them I heard something in the woods around the house. I am going to let Sheriff Coley and the deputies know what I know.” Savannah looked shaken but Tyler knew she would be able to handle this. She was just as determined to put an end to this as her brother’s were. She knew the plan and she would stick to it. They could not give away anything, thankfully Tyler had the deputies pull their vehicles into the large barn so that they would not be spotted.
Savannah found her brothers in her room and she filled them in on what Tyler told her and got them ready just in case it was their aunt and uncle. Though they were unsure how they would have found them, nonetheless, they would be ready. They were tired of all the drama and just wanted this dealt with. Joe, Ben, and Mike hunkered down in the room while Savannah left to go find Tyler. She found him in the hallway just outside his bedroom door, “The guys are ready in my room, what about Sheriff Coley?” “he and his deputies are ready in my room,” Tyler announced. “I guess it’s time to get this show on the road and see what happens.” Savannah nodded in agreement and took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She knew that things were about to happen fast, and she needed to be ready for anything. Though she was still nervous she knew Tyler was there and he would protect her. He had promised her that much last night when they were talking about who and what he was. Now they would wait and see what was to happen next.
Sophie and Fredrick arrived where the coordinates said the phone was last active. They found themselves in the thick woods that surrounded a large wooden and stone cabin. They had to be careful as they circled the property so that they would not be seen. There were so many different smells around here, but one thing was for certain there was another werewolf nearby. They quickly shifted into their human forms and put on the clothes that they had stashed in the backpack before leaving the garage. When they had gotten close enough to the cabin, they could see Savannah in what they assumed was the kitchen window and she looked like she was making coffee. A sudden noise to their left had them freeze where they stood, they looked and saw a man by a barn stacking wood into his arms and then they saw him stop and look around. Crap he probably heard them walking on the snow, that is one of the bad things about fresh snow. The crunching sound it makes under your boots is almost impossible to cover, no matter how hard you try to walk as softly as you can. When they were satisfied the man had not spotted them, they released the breath they had been holding in. They watched him walk back into the cabin, then watched as he spoke to Savannah before walking away with her following close behind him. Even with werewolf enhanced hearing they would not make out what he was saying to her just like there was something masking the smell of anything in the cabin. They could no longer smell the other werewolf and that made them hesitant to move from their vantage point. They needed to be able to use their heightened senses so that they would not be caught off guard and attacked or thwarted from their plan to force Savannah back to Georgia.
Since Savannah was in this cabin with the man, they assumed was Tyler, Sophie and Fredrick would need to carefully calculate their next move. They could not risk leaving without Savannah, and they could not risk anyone trying to rescue her. They needed to incapacitate her and make sure Tyler was unable to follow them. Sophie and Fredrick would need to act fast if they wanted to do this before Savannah had time to call the police because they were breaking the TPO. They did not care about some stupid piece of paper anyways, they only cared about their lives and what would happen to them if they failed. Sophie gulped at the thought of losing her life all because of a stubborn girl. She had to succeed in this and settle the debt that her and her husband owed to Alpha Kennedy.
Fredrick looked at his wife with just as much determination in his eyes as she had in hers. They nodded at each other and got ready to storm the castle so to speak. They decided going in in their human forms instead of their wolf forms would be the better option. They did not need to frighten Savannah more than she already would be that they had found her. Both Sophie and Fredrick ran out of the woods towards the cabin and slammed open the kitchen door. They looked around for Savannah and Tyler finding them in the living room with looks of surprise on their faces.
