(Jessie’s POV)
I don’t know about anyone else but I was soooo not expecting to see a d*mn door spring up from the ground like that! “Magic?” I heard someone ask in a confused voice and glanced that way to see one of the guards had actually spoken.
I looked around and found everyone was still gawking at the door but silently nodding in answer to the guards' question. “Can we open it?” I asked curiously, which had Jake shaking his head in a disgruntled way as he answered, “No. We bring in a witch to check it before we even think about touching it.”
