A couple of hours later, we were out combing through the forest with the three Matthews boys on a tight leash.
I know Mason didn’t trust them, but he was being a bit overzealous right now. But, I mean, literal leashes were a bit much. I tried to fight it but Nick was on his side and so was Kraig. Though the brothers never uttered a word of protest.
Only April and Jake seemed to agree with me, but they kept quiet for some reason. So now here we are, roaming the forest with three leashed vampires each being guarded by two other vamps and a wolf.
Another thing was that it was slowing us down because it was limiting their range of motion. “The area's just up this way”, Laurence said as he motioned in that direction. I sighed when he had to turn his body to look at us instead
