(Jessie’s POV) It was a long night. Sleep was elusive at best and I was thirsty. The only problem was, animal blood wasn’t cutting it for some reason. So I was antsy and anxious, my emotions were all over the place and I couldn’t seem to concentrate right. “Hey, kiddo. Come on. Let’s get you out hunting.” Nick said with concern, and I nodded. The air would do me some good, too. I waited a minute as Nick did something fancy with his do-dads and handed me his phone, then we left together. His wolf, Clancy, was hungry as well, so once we were outside, he stripped down to his boxers, then shifted. “Hi Clancy”, I said as I reached out and patted his head, causing him to nuzzle into my hand. Clancy was like this oversized golden retriever that thought it was a toy poodle puppy or something.
