I felt Jessie’s distress and flew to her side, my fire already covering my hands. Kraig was right behind me, hissing at the b*tch who was standing over Jessie as I growled with menace, “Step away from my mate or I swear I’ll fry you where you stand and roast marshmallows on the burning embers of your sorry a** just for sh*ts ‘n giggles.”
Jessie snickered at my comment. I could tell she was angry but when she spoke she used a calm tone, “It’s okay, guys.
