(Mason’s POV)
The next day we all gathered for breakfast. I wasn’t really hungry so I just sat with a bottle of water and thought over what I was gonna do to that b*tch down in our dungeons. Kraig was talking a mile a minute. He seemed a bit more keyed up this morning than usual, while Jessie seemed more subdued.
Nick and Joey were at the end of the table with their heads together while our parents were pleasantly chit-chatting. In short, no one was really paying attention to me, so I had a minute to actually look around at this odd little group we'd somehow become.
It was really something special seeing so many vamps and wolves talking like it was an ordinary occurrence. I guess we have Nick to thank for that. Well, Nick and Jessie.
