(Mason’s POV)
Once outside, Jessie's legs pretty much gave out on her. Thankfully, I was able to catch her before she went down, though. My poor baby was out like a light before I even got her swept up into my arms.
After that, I got her into the truck as gently as possible and she slept all the way back to the main house. She was still out of it when we got back but I let her at least walk in through the front door on her own steam. She didn’t wanna worry her parents by being carried inside, and I could understand that.
We had just finished telling everyone what happened when Darcey ever so calmly asked, “Where's this warehouse y'all keep talking about? I didn’t know there was one around here.”
