Chapter Fourteen
“Well, this isn’t turning out like I’d expected,” I murmured after we’d both had a moment of silence to digest that bombshell.
“You didn’t expect any of this to be easy, did you?” Logan cast me a quick sideways glance.
I shot a look back that suggested he should refrain from asking questions of that nature in the future. He immediately raised his hands in surrender, so I doubted he’d make that mistake again.
“Now what?”
“Now that we’ve had about as much drama as either of us can take, we move ourselves to a drama-free environment,” he replied. When I raised a brow, he added, “We’re getting you out of this place.”
I thrust a hand on my hip. “And just where do you suggest I go?”
Logan offered me a broad grin. “My place. And I won’t take no for an answer.”
