Rashel smiled weakly when she saw Milla. Right in the center of the room, Milla sat cuffed to a rusted metal chair. Her hair was a matted curtain over her face; some strands stuck to dried blood on her cheek. Her arms were pulled tight behind her back, held in silver-plated cuffs. “Milla!” Rashel whispered, lowering her weapon slightly. She ran to Milla and knelt beside her while using her blade to break the lock on the cuffs and free her from the chair. Milla was too tired to say anything.
