Chapter 3 Destiny's days turned into a whirlwind of activity as she prepared to leave for India. She was busy sorting out her visa, booking her flight, and packing her bags. The excitement was palpable, but a hint of nervousness lingered in the back of her mind. Funmi and Chike were her pillars of support, helping her with everything from shopping for Indian clothes to practicing her Hindi phrases. They laughed and joked, trying to make the most of the time they had left together. Destiny's family was also busy, preparing for her departure. Her mother spent hours in the kitchen, cooking up a storm and freezing meals for her to take to India. Her father sat her down, his eyes serious, and handed her a small package. "What's this, Dad?" Destiny asked, unwrapping the package to reveal a beautiful silver necklace with a small jade pendant. "It's a little something to remind you of home," he said, his voice gruff. "And to keep you safe, always." Destiny's eyes welled up as she hugged her father tightly. "Thank you, Dad. I'll always wear it." As the days flew by, Destiny found herself standing in the airport, surrounded by her loved ones. The air was thick with emotions, and the sound of laughter and tears filled the air. Funmi handed her a small box. "Open it when you're on the plane," she said, her voice trembling. Chike gave her a big hug. "Keep in touch, okay? And don't forget to try the street food." Destiny's mother hugged her tightly, tears streaming down her face. "Be safe, my child. We love you." Destiny's father handed her a small envelope. "For emergencies only, okay?" Destiny nodded, her throat tight. She knew this was just the beginning of her journey, and she was ready to take the leap even though her journey ahead is unsure. As she boarded the plane and settled into her seat, Destiny felt a rush of excitement and nervousness. She opened the box Funmi had given her, and a beautiful silver charm fell out, with a note attached: "The world is full of possibilities. Go out there and shine!" Destiny smiled, feeling a sense of anticipation and wonder. She was ready to take on whatever lay ahead, and she knew that no matter where her journey took her, she would always have the love and support of her friends and family back home. The plane took off, and Destiny watched as the Nigerian landscape gave way to the clouds. She felt a sense of freedom and adventure, and she knew that this was just the beginning of her journey. As the plane soared through the skies, Destiny closed her eyes, feeling the excitement and nervousness give way to a sense of calm. She knew that she was ready for whatever lay ahead, and she was eager to see what the future holds.
