He seems really proud of his friends and now they were going to do at all might what they were all destined for to do together yet without Faudian but me.
I was surprised to see many books about the Terragon placed in a very mannerable deck of great collections of history and I couldn't see anything about the Wolveians or the Glendins and there was but one book that spoke about the vampires and none of them really spoke about the truth about the Bloodteeth and their very well constructed castles, buildings, wealth, treasures. It showed how cheap the ancestors of Calfian were to praise themselves throughout the history for everyone in it to be shown dimly as ever.
Wolveans were merely called Werewolves only from these and recent times and we are only more like humans after all with the powers of an ancient tree not the DNA of real wolves who went on to become pets of humans. The tree could have influenced certain creatures to be like us but we in no way are in the nature of this category of animals. Bloodteeth were mastered in the arts of magic and blood works but here it was all the highly praised 'priests of Terragonian villages' that did that. Even all of this after they never ever did mention that they are Wolveans themselves who worked for the forgotten king.
I had hoped I would at least get to know of one good person from the family but no Terragon was brought up that way. They were only taught ways to be greater than everyone no matter the cost mentally and physically. It's literally obvious that they weren't taught well we were much better without vain, I say Faudian was brought up greater than any Glendin that lived in the past.
-------
The man was literally looking at him like he was about to take a bite off his neck but the Bloodteeth symptoms according to their books, the spell or curse enchanted from an effigy will be way worse. It will take out the innermost desire that sometimes the subject might not even have known and that brought shivers down my spine.
If Wolveians such as I and the other Glendins had existed could have warned even if they knew the effigy was gone and yet no one did what was this all about. The secrecy about their own heroes which technically this unnamed villager, man is. What was the dire need of keeping this away from history? Was the need for this due to the warning that could have brought in more attention and perhaps war? Were they so scared to take away from their own kin and fall under the same category of thieves or perhaps even be affected by the effigy?
The worst case would be that if not one person had believed that the effigy is dangerous would have really devastated everything and the whole lands of Glendin for good.
What had taken place now was something else as Speyer came close to the man that was turning into a beastlier version of himself and looks into his eyes, "I know how it feels, the diminishing of your mind, your powers slowly going out of control. This is beyond the matters of life and death as your mind had traveled from generations past, where you were someone else dead and completely driven mad by the same effigy."
I could put everything together now, the betrayers, the Terragons they had always planned in some way to use the Bloodteeth and rule all of Glendin but how can mind travel from generation to generation like a soul perhaps? This might go beyond the concepts that I might already have known with the information left to me. Better leave it aside for now. Now it is proven that the effigies were taken way before the attack on the Bloodteeth villages. They were either taken during battles or of course...one of the Bloodteeth must have helped the Terragons but for what? Wealth? It cannot be...what else did the Bloodteeth even seek from the Terragons likely, leaving the Glendins whom they have always fought with where the Terragons are also Gledinian but something was there blocking these people to come to the sight of wars and even public working for such criminals behind what are they and why are they.
"Your good friend, Val had given me the effigy that you found with her in her own village tucked deep in the catacombs of their sage. Now I will be praised as such a sage and with my command and power shall the whole world run and you won't be there to see it...you will mourn as a ghost afar for the cries of your villagers and of course your family."
What does he mean Val, this is mixed up. Val is not a Bloodteeth she is the daughter of a renowned warrior from Glendin Kingdoms. This did not make any sense... for such characters to show up.
The man was weak, I could feel his sadness more than rage and he spat blood as he struggled to talk to the guy holding him and his voice was nothing similar...it seemed more like his other side, the beastly side. Was he turning into the other or the beastly person that he would be affected by the Effigy?
"I-I won't let you... d-do this to my people and those people you hid.. in this city. "
Speyer moved back being surprised by his insight of who remained in this place. His face turned when he knew he kept the people of this hidden city captive.
"You are scared of them... just because of that you can't keep them away from their own homeland and you cannot slave... them"
Speyer moved back all of a sudden hurriedly as he saw him transforming into a tall huge and very despicable beast. He closed his eyes and through sonic waves, he could sense the life forms in the depths of the city held captive. He looked at Speyer with rage and Speyer then ran in fear daunted by its size and face and then he kept running as their guards go to him with all might taking their swords and swinging everywhere.
The loud growl of the beast settled after its great echo shattering the trees of the Land below Castle and wavering the grass of it. The people that hid were terrified including Speyer as he was trying to shift all these people to another place and whilst doing so saving himself as well. He got on his carriage while at a distance he saw the terror of the beast going down brutally at his enemies. He for a minute was looking at the effigy almost like he was drawn to it at the same time terrified by what it does. He could feel the churning energy and spirit in it calling him with it and to take a stab so that he could enhance his abilities to rule the world.
As soon as he did he put it away. He sighed in relief for not getting trapped by that effigy or ornament that was built up to him so that he would consume it. He had kept it back in his pouch momentarily turning back to do so and as he does the sound of the ground thudding and winds following upwards towards or away from a thrust of someone or something and the thrust was no one's but the nobleman turned werewolf in a knight armor almost broken trying to catch Speyer before he escapes.
The sword met his eye just a finger close and the carriage trusted forward keeping Speyer alive. The eyes of the man were red as the blood of vampires and with pure unshaken rage, he drifted along with the carriage to the turns it took gaining speed more and more.
This was the time I knew that the man really didn't change completely enough for the man who holds the effigy has control over anyone affected by it yet, somehow the nobleman hadn't even crossed his same mind that he shares with his wolf. Somehow, this was the secret of the effigy I had just learned along with a greater one...that a mind split enough to have more personalities and still be stable is a mind that can outgrow even the powerful spells cast by gods or even the mighty spell learners, the Bloodteeth.
This was marked by the power of the ancestors and the power of remembrance that the beast in him somehow stayed impact more than the man who broke seeing what was at fault for his doing. I was discomforted by this and quite frustrated but truth pokes at you when you are learning more than you need to and at a time there can only be accepted if haunting of it shall be denied.
Somehow, I thought that fate was too leaned upon in the story of Speyer versus a nobleman but it wasn't for he was as ancient as we Wolveians were before even the war had ever happened. This set forth the belief that the beast in me was rather for a meaning hopefully not something this drastic yet all these ornaments, effigies, lost cities they must add up to something, something we all oversaw, something never came across my eyes or the mind. Even now, after all of it, I cannot figure this out. What was this all about for the last time, what was it?
"You think, you werewolf can really disobey my command you are that powerful to do so? You wretched Wolveans if only that tree was destroyed shan't you ever have existed. Thank the gods, people will see you now for who you are, you are a wiper of souls, an agent of the dark, a worshipper of the false moonlight that extracts from the Lordstar Sun. You are but a shadow of the past, and this story shall stay beyond misery, beyond stones, and beyond life and death. You and your species will be termed as the terrifying monsters who shall turn once dark come out and through the moon's sight shall you eat your own companions. This will be etched in the mind of the people of the future ...that is my curse for you."
He growled as he got closer and the moment he pounced the effigy was at Speyer's throat and as soon as the carriage broke upon the weight of the beast upon it and the man who was on the carriage now taken away in the hands of the beast as they all rolled and kept falling to the riverside.
Upon hitting the floor from the slope he saw the man he wanted to destroy in his hands with his life already taken away by the effigy. He saw it and with rage and might he growled, he growled till his throat had worn out of all the feelings in his body and mind. As he did, the transformation of him turned back to the humanoid form of his. He still yelled though mourning for the fool in his arms and scolding him brutally in his mind. He somehow had half of the abilities transferred to him by the effigy, some sort of heightened sense that like a bat, what we call modern-day sonar is what he had got even as a human, he seemed like a Bloodteeth now.
He then knew though not so sure about the effigy's power that the curse had taken place for the one who had control with it yet in vain did he die just for vengeance of the man who was already vengeful against him. He slowly kept the body down and closed his eyes praying for a moment and in tears was he when he held the effigy.
It connected with him and he hated it, he hated for everything it caused and the death of many villagers and a family of the enemy was felled by his hands or something else. He had taken all the blame and threw the body in the river along with the effigy. He floated to the waterfall going underworld as the underground city he was in was already deep inside the planet Earth.
He walked down the path to the nearby port where people were held as prisoners. The keys were used and the gates were unlocked as the people were brought out by the remaining guards who wanted to help him and the people wearing dresses and garments like those he has never seen looked up at him. The queen had come forth to praise their savior even as the curse spoiled the truth of the Glendin or Werewolves as the Wolveans are now known.
He wanted to feel better for how these people saw him after everything but he didn't and the people were ignored by him. The queen had taken his hand close and worshipped him with grace. Looking at his chain ornament that spelled out his name which said...wait this doesn't make much sense," Anu--ahh lord Anu, the Guardian Deity of the Egyptian Kingdoms, we knew you would come."
The man was named Anuwill Habismus, the well-known villager who also was very great at spells, went to the war many times and back aiding the war people with healing elements in secrecy as I later learned. He is the nobleman? Oh my, the resemblance of his new form half beast half humanoid, and with the Egyptian crown...this made sense to how history plays an important role here. How did I not see this? Of course, my heroes never lose me.
I never had once let my trust down on this man, Anuwill and he had conquered his mind like a warrior, typical Wolvean nature and this brought a smile and a bit of pride in me that I was chosen to see all this memory that was kept inside my head by my ancestors.
Of course, he had spoken at last, and only now could I see everything, and that everyone whom he saved had granted him and dressed him with each one's gift of their own luxurious or precious item. After which he was dressed in a moment by these magical yet powerful-minded people, he looked just like the God their prophecy had told them.
All of this now makes sense, though history won't be altered right now all truth was revealed in my eyes. That the Guardian deity, the God wolf that the Egyptians admired was none other than a pure one from Glendin, the first creatures and now him as Wolvean, the situation couldn't get stronger as to what he had accomplished. This set a higher goal for me to suppress the beast inside of me and let some of his ideas stay in my head while I still control the full of my mind, taking him as one like me.
"It's an honor of saving people like you and being amongst you, all this wealth I do not deserve. I barely chose this all for this world is no longer eligible for peace. It's safer to go to your own lands and together I will keep you safe traveling with you all and if you may I shall stay as long as I can to protect you from the Shadows of your land. I promise the beast I am is the beast necessary for the times that shall come. "
The crowned noble creature he had become somewhat turned more mature upon a touch of the Effigy's grace. It was something I didn't expect to say but the effigy if the mind is strong enough can be altered just in case the affected one is so powerful as to turn it upside down. This in turn proved how great sorcery did Bloodteeth know being the makers of witches and wizards who in turn also went against them.
The nobility was too strong but he had to do but one thing before leaving his place here. He had to fight just once for the Glendin just to make sure his service for his place never fails to be what it is today.
He had built the city in the side to keep them safe, hid all the stuff about his enemy that he felled and still went with the news that only went public which was the family was sacrificed in the war that happened in there but Speyer was seen as the victor as he had told the villagers he was telling the story to as he came back that it was he who built the underground city with his own wealth though Anuwill had taken the leftover wealth after mourning for his family and let them build their city with the help of a few trusted outsiders, one of whom already knows this story, my father or be it two including my mother. They seemed to have been chosen for a lot of these things, trusted all over in all kingdoms, and kept everything they had done in wars or seen in secret together much as a secret. This was quite a similar relationship to that of me and Gen though we never would have come as couples, we are good partners of secrecy and treasury. Derik would never know even in plain sight what the treasure was so that came in handy to keep everything or most things a secret just to not harm this world of its insight and wealth.
He had spoken of his effort and brought it back but...this wouldn't be the case but this was it. The thing in his hand was something that sent chills and shivers down my spine."You must keep this where you may and with all effort save this and never let it outside."
The man taking such a thing was but a familiar face, as he said his name all I could have hoped of to not go wrong had did and he also was a bit failing me at this part being my hero, I didn't expect this,"You are giving me, Havier the forbidden instrument you found and fought from the castle of Speyer. My, my, my you are but a true friend and after all you really did capture that my friend. You really make me tearful. "
The liar, the specimen that is the brother of Calfian was given the rights to the forbidden instrument by my own hero. Can this get any worse... I hope it doesn't.
________
(back outside in cathedral)
I was looking around to find that one book that would uncover another secret pathway to the treasures of the cathedral or the path to the lost city. I could but find only highly praises of Terragons in all of the literature that exists here. This was very mocking of the whole known history that played a great thing that shaped the present timeline.
All of a sudden I try hard enough for a book that seemed interesting and possibly the only book that could have a little bit of true intel and it seemed to be stuck tightly. Upon closer glance, I noticed it wasn't a book at all and this seemed obvious as it was the only book without a title praising the Terragons. The book was inserted deeper with a small push by me and then did what I planned to do actually happened, the statue of the Werewolf had gone behind and a set of stairs were revealed seeing that it was leading towards the underground.
I was excited, to be honest now, I had jumped down the stairs and traveled quicker than anyone could find but unfortunately had they already arrived quicker than I thought. It was but a slight miss for them to see me in my own form and know I'm not Faudian, especially or mainly Gen. "Faudian you must wait for us-- oh Derik look!" They seemed to have just seen the wolf statue and also the set of stairs as their voice echoed till here and echoed in here as well.
I entered what seemed like a giant hollow castle filled with dust and darkness and amidst all of it a throne. The place was remarkably big and well bit and the building met its top at one point making this whole structure like that of a pyramid. The more I related this with a pyramid did I more see the whole structure is but the world's greatest tomb. I was surprised not the least and soon was I distracted by the footsteps of the great Faudian's friends. Before they could see me, I had disguised as I did before when Gen couldn't recognize me either way.
"Whoaaaa, great find, Nau--Faudian...hehe" Derik almost stuttered and let my name come out but Gen seemed too distracted by this as her mouth was open and her jaw hanging, she felt emotional being here witnessing this and I could see some of Faudian in her."We made it... Faudian, the catacombs Of Anubis is but over here, the thing that exists in this city just on entering is already the world's greatest tomb to be ever found at his great height hidden under a massive city. It makes sense that only a Wolveian could trigger the books of Anubis to be pressed so you could go to the city from these stairs. This is really everything almost everything we had hoped to find here."
Obviously, all of this insight seemed new to me, and here was I in awe of her intelligence as well, I'm convinced that Faudian and Gen had been in greater jaw-dropping adventures no one has heard of and I see how he trusts her now more than anyone. Guess the man ain't easy after all to be impressed. This place was enchanting but so was the light coming across from the door that was at the end of the catacomb on the other side but above were floored probably to more rooms and some minor treasures that would be priced above a million dollars but the billion-dollar treasure must be outside the city itself.
I had walked towards the light that was so divine and I heard Derik finding something though I kept walking, still hearing his voice, "If you had only stopped you jibber-jabber and looked up, see the thing, that Anubis wears its etched to the ceiling man." He seemed to have tried to involve in this himself just so he doesn't lose track of us and upon a slight glance, I see that it was a great find as it was a glyph itself and was Gen nothing but surprised more than she thought. Her face showed how happy she was. Seeing all of them together mustn't I lie brought some peace and happiness to me as well. This hopefully changes Faudian's mind about me though thankfully Derik knows me and he would tell him, there can be a better chance if Faudian and I had talked a worked together after all.
Tough to say but that's what it was. I had opened the giant door to unveil the light origin and voila was I met with the beauty of this world in a massive yet life-giving city with a bright blue sky and a great atmosphere. There were smaller pyramids that I had found over here but as smaller they were, they are still a great beauty. Beyond all this were the pure water river and the smell of gold and treasures from afar in these tombs already pulling me towards it. Was I but surprised I would have felt greater satisfaction seeing all this in the eyes of Faudian...and I think I would be better if that had been true now...i closed my eyes to pray for it, thinking of his arrival as he deserved this more than me and that there was another job right now after all this I had to seek deeper into Faudian's mind for something else...
I hoped to have gone back to reality and I was met with the beautiful city that I had already been in in my head, I saw my hands that were a bit torn off from the gloves and a scarf on my face that was removed and in my hands. I felt the great energy of the world breathing at me and pulling me towards its wealth. I could see the same river more tombs that I hadn't seen and a mechanical fountain amidst all of the beauty. It was but a mesmerizing thing to see after all. I turned back at Derik was suddenly surprised as he spoke stuttering a bit which was mildly amusing a bit weird and I had to give in more than smile and laugh with all joy of finding this place, "My bud, Faudian...the city at last and you are here to see it." Gen had seen him with a weirded look and questioned him with her eyes but left it be as she came in near and hugged me with passion and sighed, "We did it Faudian, what your Dad meant is real."
I gently smiled and held her for a brief second as also Derik held us both with a tight hug, I softly pulled back and they both had hugged giggling. I smiled at the might of this Utopia that I had fought for ages and here I am thanks to the people I love and the man in my head as well. Thanks to my ancestors and before I knew it and thanked all of them my foot was on the grass of the divine city beneath the cathedral and I opened my arms with a gentle smile on my face welcoming the winds of it.
I felt the purity and gave in to it as it hugged me with love. The passion I had to find something like this was proven to be true as I saw the same river with shining water surface though it was a place of tragedy did it ever lose its divinity and grace. I was happier than a kid could have been finding something new in his life. I had but peace and satisfaction at last but it was dimmed down after enjoying all this as Calfian of course was coming to see. We all knew and we sighed but we sat under the tree still embracing the nature of all this and forgetting the other things for a brief moment. We were lost in the peacefulness of this place and that's when I saw a bright red object by the river. It called to me and I didn't want to not go there. I was being called by my friends and the enemy who had a threatening voice. My head was quite dizzy like the effect of a drug. I was really laughing I think, I'm not sure. What am i thought hmm, I never knew.
I think I should take the red glowing object and pierce my hand with it...yes that's what would satisfy me I guess so I reach for it as I should. God knows what it could do but I'm here all excited and dumbfounded in happiness so bring it on, to me oh nature and mankind, bring it on.
