The moon goddess stood, with her hands cross behind her. She heard wings flapping from behind till it turned to footsteps.
"You saw it yourself. The stupid Alpha, rejected her. You know what that means" The dragon lord said.
"Why did you choose her? Why not someone he loves?" The goddess asked. The dragon lord moved closer to her.
"I get to decide who I want. Besides that, that brat doesn't love anyone. His supposed mate, iry..."
"It's Ivy! This isn't over yet" she interrupted him.
"Oh, it is over. The moment she accepted his rejection, it's over. Now, it's time for the war to begin" he said, wearing a mocking smile.
"No! Don't do anything now" the moon goddess yelled.
"Too late" he said and turned, shifting back into his dragon form.
The moon goddess frowned as she saw what happened. She cursed inside her mind. She can't let Gerald be the cause of the war.
Instead, she acted fast.

"If she's your mate, then you should accept her. Besides , you're lucky that she's from the Gatlin family" Castro said to Gerald.
Gerald shot him a hard glare, taking a second break from his drinking.
"She's a Gatlin and a slave. How? Why?"
"You can't be Alpha if you haven't gotten your mate" he said.
"I already rejected her and she accepted it" he said.
Castro grabbed the bottle of whiskey from Gerald.
"Stop drinking and start thinking. If this is how you want to be Alpha, I can't be your Beta" he said.
Gerald fumed and leaned back on the sofa. He was already tipsy.
"What do you want me to do?" He asked.
"Go to her. Talk to her"
"You can't order me around. I'm the Alpha of this pack" he growled angrily, hitting his chest. Castro didn't even flinch.
"Go to her!" Castro said again, pointing at the door. Gerald sighed and sprung up. He staggered as he walked out of the room. He was heading to Daphne's quarters.

Meanwhile, Artur stood outside Daphne's door. He wanted to knock and go inside but, he can't. What if she gets upset or something happens to her because he's seen with her.
He heard footsteps and perceived his brother's scent. He hurriedly hid himself. He watched as he banged the door hard.
"What is he doing here this late?" Artur asked himself.
The door opened and Daphne walked out. Artur saw Daphne in her red short gown. His body reacted. But, he watched as Gerald pushed her inside and slammed the door closed.
Artur thought she was in trouble. He rushed to the door to help her but instead... He heard what they were saying.
"Your majesty, you're drunk" she said.
"I know I'm drunk. I know rejected you from being my mate. But, I can't become Alpha without you"
Artur heard that. His heart was shattered. He never thought that Daphne would be mated to his brother.
"I already accepted your rejection, my king. There's nothing we can do about that" she said.
"Oh, there are a lot of things we can do about that. First of all, why don't we take this off" he said.
Artur bit his lower lips and exhaled deeply. He slowly turned away, hearing Daphne's soft voice. She was trying to avoid Gerald from touching her but... Fate keeps happening. He couldn't stand and listen to her moan, so, he left.

Mr Gatlin entered into Ivy's room, unexpected. He saw her on the bed, reading a book.
"Hey, honey" he said softly.
"Hey dad" she greeted, without taking her eyes off the book.
"Have you spoken to the king? When is the crowning ceremony taking place?" He asked.
Ivy finally slammed the book closed. She raised her head and glared at her father.
"I did try to meet him. But I wasn't allowed. They think I'm a total stranger. No one even knows I'm from this family" she said, angrily.
"I know you're a fit to become queen, when I gave your sister to the late Alpha. You can't let me down"
"Don't you miss her? Have you even spoken to her since you gave her away?" Ivy asked.
"I don't need to know how she's doing" he turned his face away.
"I just hope to feel a connection with the king. Then, I'll become the queen and make you proud"
"Just as you should. You should go to bed. Don't ruin your precious skin" he said, touching her hair. She leaned forward and kissed her father's forehead.
"Good night dad" she said. Mr Gatlin left her room immediately. He closed the door and leaned on the door. He sighed deeply, remembering Daphne. How her mother left her with him and left. He accepted the child even if she's not his own. But, when he got his own child, he abandoned her.
That was a night he'll never forget. He was in the woods, hunting, when a lady ran to him. He shifted back to his human form and walked to her. She was hurt and weak.
"Take her, take her" she said repeatedly.
"Who are you? Why are you?!...."
"Take her! Please! Save her!" She cried. He heard voices from far. He didn't know if he should run. His head just told him to take the baby and ran, leaving the lady.
And that's how he got Daphne over night.

The next morning, Gerald heard a loud bang on the door. He twirled around the bed, yawning, till his lips touched something hard. He moved his lips and opened his eyes, only for him to see it was Daphne's hard t*ts.
He kept staring at them till a smile appeared on his face. He finally slept with the girl he wanted. He stretched his hand, wanting to touch them. He saw the mark he made on her neck after last night love making.
Again, the loud bang came. It was louder this time.
"Your majesty!" He heard Castro's voice. He took his robe and walked to the door, yawning for the second time.
"Yes?" He asked, looking at Castro. But, Castro's eyes went straight into the room. He saw as Daphne turned, exposing her naked back. They were filled with scars and red marks.
"Castro!" Gerald snapped at him.
"What is the problem?" He asked.
"There's a huge problem. Half of the city was burnt down over night"
"Was it an attack? By which Pack? Gerald asked, looking surprised and angry. His tenure hasn't begun, they were already bringing threats to him.
"No your majesty, it wasn't an attack from any Pack. The people said, they saw a dragon" he said.
"A dragon?" Gerald asked, wearing a questioning look on his face.
