Natalia Upon Cardan’s insistence, I agree to stay behind and wait for Jude to check my eye. I’m sure it’s fine, bruised, but fine nonetheless. But just to convince Cardan, I agree. The wait is torture though, being here with him like this, especially after what just happened. I feel suffocated. I’ve always found these hospital rooms large, but suddenly it seems so little.
