Flying back to Manchester is what Nathan wants best since he will meet his best friend, not just a best friend but a real brother or rather his twin. Henry recently received a Master of Science in Medicine after passing the required board exam. Because he was putting a lot of effort into preparing for the bar exam, they had not seen each other in nearly a year.
"Really? You're coming?" Henry exclaims in excitement.
"Yeah, I'll fly tonight. I guess I will arrive there at six in the morning." Nathan assured.
"Great! I'll pick you up at the airport. You better stay in my place."
"I'll be glad to. Thanks, bro!"
"See you then! Have a great and safe trip!"
The trip to Manchester Airport took eight hours for Nathan to complete. At seven o'clock in the morning, a man with a medium build who was the same height as him, wearing glasses with round rims, was smiling and waved his hand.
"Nathan!′ He called.
"Henry! My best friend! " They gave each other a manful hug.
"You haven't changed a bit!"
"Of course, still look as genius as ever." Henry chuckled.
"Yeah, right!" They are both laughing.
Henry shows Nathan the apartment he is staying in while he is in Manchester.
"Ahh. .... So tiring! " Nathan jumped onto the couch and leaned his back.
"Still living alone?" He inquires as Henry immediately proceeds to the kitchen to get something to drink.
"Yeah," he responded while he placed the beverage on the table.
"So you haven't got a new girlfriend?"
"I'm sure you're aware of how busy I am."
"It's the same old thing, and your life is so tedious."
"What about you? If I had to guess, I'd say that you've already moved on with Anne."
"Of course! It's been a year. To be honest, I almost forgot about it."
"Are you serious? Why is that?"
"Surely, she's not the only woman in this world, right?" Nathan let out a chuckle.
"Yes, of course! You didn't even tell me about it, but I remember that you've been taking it too hard." Henry was perplexed as he listened to him.
"It's not something that will pique your interest, and even if it did, I know it's not the worst thing that could have happened; in fact, it was pretty typical!" Nathan explains and maintains his cheerful expression.
Henry did not respond and instead just stared at Nathan as he was being compelled to discuss about Kimberly.
"Honestly, I met someone." He started raising his body and faced Henry enthusiastically.
"Really?!"
"Yeah, it's just that she's different." He said softly.
"Different? Like what? A foreigner? "
"No."
"No, then what?"
"She's a prostitute."
"What!? Are you damn crazy!?" Henry was taken aback and exclaimed.
"Well, she's not a prostitute."
"Not a prostitute? Like what? A semi. A semi-prostitute? " He corrected.
"Well, yeah, like that." Nathan responds and takes a sip of the beverage that Henry has just served.
"Come on, Nathan, do you think I'll lend my ears to you and have the interest to listen to a love story between a good-looking bachelor man and a prostitute? Oh, a semi-prostitute! " He teased him harshly.
"Would you hear what I have to say first!"
Nathan told everything from the beginning, including how he met Kimberly at the bar, their first night together, and even about the one hundred thousand dollar deal. At the same time, Henry listened to him very seriously.
"What was the reason behind her requiring such a large sum?" Henry inquired with a sense of wonder.
"I have no idea," He answered while shaking his head.
"You should at least ask."
"I did, but all she said was that she needed it for her living,"
"For a living? Like how? "
"Well, we have the same reaction."
"Then what did she says?"
"We were interrupted, but don't worry. I will ask it again when I return."
Henry remained quiet for a while and then crossed his legs. Nathan was aware that this was his way of thinking about the circumstances and evaluating the narrative.
"What do you think about that?!"
"You know me; I won't tolerate you with that kind of foolishness!"
"You think its foolishness?"
"Honestly, yes! I'm telling you, if this girl asks you again for another amount. Well, not just telling you. I'm warning you. It is a scam! And I would be disgusted to hear that my best friend Nathan Conner has been such a fool victim!"
Nathan suddenly realized it and chose to keep his mouth shut. He readjusts his posture once more while seated on the couch.
"Hey! You're here for me. I might get jealous if you won't stop thinking about your semi-prostitute girlfriend! " Henry teased him again with twinkling eyes, acting like a sweet woman.
"Moron!" Nathan throws him the pillow.
They stay there for the entirety of the night and have a good time there. They have an abundance of alcoholic beverages as well as ladies, of course. Nathan restrained himself from drinking too much as he reflected on the productive board meeting that would take place the following day.
The particular way in which Nathan accomplished his goal shocked everyone. And that they should feel a sense of pride in belonging to a company with a smart, resourceful, imaginative, and good-looking founder. For everyone, it was an exceptional and excellent idea. Even the staff and board members gave him a standing ovation at the end of his presentation.
"When are you available to visit me at my place?" Nathan asks Henry while they're at the airport waiting for his flight back to Burnham city.
"Next month."
"Really?"
"Yes, my dad wants me to do the internship at the hospital since it would end up being like it anyway."
"That would be fantastic."
"Yeah, mom already arranged a victory party for me after I passed the board. I invited all our friends, including Archie, Johnny, and the others. I'll be expecting you to be there."
"That's great. I can't wait!
"You must bring the semi-prostitute girlfriend you're talking about crazily!"
"I'm not crazy!"
"Not yet! But you're on a peak of being like it." Henry laughed heartily, and Nathan slapped him on the back to stop.
"Whatever!" He remarked as he entered the building.
"Have a safe trip!" Henry bids farewell with a wave.
"Thanks."
