33He waited on the corner, holding onto the wall with one hand, the crutch propped up next to him. Squeezing his groin with his free hand, the agony caused him to double-up. This was stupid; no strain, the doctor had said. Why the hell couldn't he just wait? But Larry was past waiting; he no longer had the patience.
