SPIN OFF: SELF-WORTH Step 1: WRITE DOWN YOUR IDEAS 1. Mattheus, a young and happy meet-go-lucky engineer, meets his accountant, Jia, who has a very strong persona. 2. Mattheus was so interested in her because it was the very first time that a woman had not tried to flirt with him. STEP 2: TURN THE IDEAS INTO A PLOT Q1: What was the situation like when Jia met her conceited boss? What was her reaction? A1: Mattheus has a reputation around girls, even though surrounded by girls, he takes his job efficiently. On the other hand, Jia had been protecting herself from a man like Mattheus, but she had no choice. It would not look good on her resume if she turned down this opportunity. She must finish her contract with this company, and after that she will be with her family again. Q2: What was the situation like when Mattheus saw that Jia wasn't interested in him? What was his reaction? A2: Mattheus was a womanizer but a competent engineer. No woman has ever turned him down. Upon meeting her accountant, he was suddenly interested in her because there was something in Jia that he couldn't name.  Q3: Why did Jia seem to have a very strong persona? She seemed to be a cold-hearted woman? What made her like that? A3: Jia was once a hopeless romantic girl who had friends, loved by her family, and flocked by suitors. She fell in love with a guy who's a year younger than her. She thought it was the start of her fairytale story, but it turned into a nightmare. A depressive experience made her be the woman who she is now. She will not let her emotions blind her judgement again. Trusting men nowadays seems to be a very hard decision. STEP 3: ADD SCENES, CHARACTERS, AND LOGIC SCENE 1: Jia's Party Jia's friends planned a welcome back party because, finally, after 3 years since their graduation, she chose to stay in the Philippines.  SCENE 2: Jia's House Jia's parents convinced her to work in someone's company and to encourage the said company to invest in their business. Jia approved to help her loving parents. SCENE 3: Cafe Jia passed her resume from company after company. After 3 days, she received a call from MDM Incorporated saying that she would be having an interview tomorrow.  SCENE 4: MDM INCORPORATED Jia dressed herself formally. She will be interviewed by 3 personnel who have high positions in the company. She's complacent that she will get this position. As a matter of fact, she finished her MBA in 1 year with flying colors while working for a well-trusted company of CPAs. Jia will be interviewed by the CEO himself. She did not do any background checks on the said company. She had no idea. Jia composed herself as she met the eyes of her boss. Mattheus, on the other hand, was shocked because, for the very first time, a woman who, dressed formally, came to his office for an interview.  Mattheus became interested in Jia because she wasn't driven by his flirtatious actions. Mattheus was challenged to know the reasons for it.
