I DONT KNOW IF SHE HEARD ME. SHE IS A VERY STUBBORN GIRL.
'Stop right there! I am still talking to you'
'Thandie! Thandile Mpho!!!'
She finally stopped and turned to face me. Her lean teenage body lay in my eyes , I was consumed in anger. I boiled as I stood in the middle of my kitchen hut . It was as if someone had thrown coals on me ,the only difference was that the heat of the burning coals could be felt in the whole room . She felt the intensity of the high temperatures as the reflection beamed right back at me . There were her naive dare devil eyes. While I went deep in her eyes, I met her audacity just right in there. It was as powerfull as darkness. She had this bold aura shouldered in there . Fearlessness diving and choruses of arrogance vibrating back and forth. I didnt find any regret in those whole eyes as I searched . Or even pools of remorse nothing not even a teaspoon.
That's when I decided I was not going to allow someone who is not even half my age disrespect me. I was not going to watch her model rebelliousness in front of my eyes. I would have broken, then grinded those tender young bones to crust I tell u by now but I am holding .
'That's what is going to happen and that is my final decision ', I continued quite calmly folding all my anger in my fist hidden behind my sunflower coloured dress. She ran out of the hut. I don't know if she heard me. She is a stubborn girl. She is my daughter after all.
