I feel a sharp pain in my shoulder that makes it hard to move properly. Slowly, I try to open my eyes but I can't, there's something covering them, leaving me blindfolded.
The last thing I remember, I was at the market, then a van suddenly stopped in front of me and I was grabbed. After that, everything went blank, I don't know where I am.
Why did they take me? Who are they? Are they bad people? These are some of the questions racing through my mind, and I fear my guesses might be right. What if they are bad people? That means my life is in danger!
"She's waking up." I almost stop breathing upon hearing a few voices nearby. I want to move but I can't, I want to scream but I can't.
"I told you not to hurt her, right? We'll get into trouble for this!" Even I flinched at the sudden shout from the man. From what I hear, it sounds like there are two men here.
"Sorry, she was struggling." I remained silent, even though I desperately wanted to run away from them.
"Just behave! He's coming, ask for the call as soon as he arrives." I hear their footsteps moving away.
Even the opening and closing of the door were clearly audible. Does that mean I'm alone here?
If that's the case, I need to find a way to escape. If I don't act, nothing will happen, and my life will be in even more danger, and I don't want that.
I don't want to die! Not yet! I haven't enjoyed life to the fullest yet, and now I'm going to die? A big NO!
I try hard to break free from my restraints, but they're too tight. I also move cautiously because the two men who just left might hear me. I also try to move my head, thinking it might remove whatever is covering my eyes.
But it's not easy, my strength is running out from trying to escape. I'm also trying to be careful about my movements, but my stomach is growling! Am I feeling hungry in this situation?
I quickly stopped when the door suddenly opened, I almost held my breath again and my heart began to beat louder. The sound of footsteps approaching my position, I almost stopped breathing when I felt it stop in front of me.
"W-Who are you? P-please if you're a thief I don't have m-money... you won't get anything from me..." I stuttered.
But I didn't hear any answers from him. I waited if he would say something, but I didn't hear anything. I was also startled when he touched my hair.
It felt like it had been electrified throughout my body, so I couldn't move. The tension in my body was such that even opening my mouth was difficult.
I also wonder why my fears are gone. Why do I feel like I'm in good hands now? The tension throughout my system seemed to dissipate with that touch.
"It's me." I was more startled when I heard his cold but gentle voice. Is he really in front of me? Did he save me again, so is he here now?
"Kian... Is that really you?"
"Hmmm...yes. Don't worry, everything will be alright." I wanted to shout with joy because he's here, even though I can't see him, I know he's right in front of me.
Just the thought that he rescued me makes my heart swell with relief.
I smiled sweetly. "Kian, thank you for coming... I thought something bad was going to happen to me, thank you for saving me." I waited for him to untie my hands and feet, and to remove the blindfold, but seconds passed and he didn't.
He didn't even take off the blindfold.
"Kian?"
"Yes?"
"K-Kian, please remove this. We need to leave right now because they might catch us, something bad might happen." I almost whispered, afraid that the men who took me might hear us.
"Stay there for a while, Kaury." I froze. What did he mean by that? The smile slowly faded from my lips as I surveyed the surroundings.
"Kian, w-what do you mean? Kian, we need to go! They might find us! You could get hurt too! Please!" I couldn't help but raise my voice. I didn't understand what he was trying to convey to me.
Why wouldn't he remove the ropes and the blindfold? Why? Our lives is in danger! And I was worried about that!
"Boss, what's going on?" I froze again when I heard the door open. They're back! What are they going to do to Kian? I started to panic again because of what was happening.
"What did you do to her? I told you not to hurt her! Why is she injured!? Damn!" I bit my lip at Kian's loud shout, accompanied by what sounded like something breaking.
My mind was flooded with questions; I was confused by everything that was happening.
"I'm sorry, boss. It wasn't intentional, she resisted..."
"Get out of here! I don't want to hear your explanation! Now!"
"K-Kian, what does this mean?" Was I right in my thoughts? I-Is he the one who ordered them to kidnap me!? From what I heard, those two men referred to him as their boss!
"It's okay, Kau... I won't hurt you, okay? Just hang in there..." I shook my head quickly.
Why would he do this!? Why would he kidnap me? Does he have something sinister planned for me? We could have met without it coming to this. Why did he have to do this!?
"P-Please let me go... p-please remove these ropes." I was almost pleading with my voice.
"Trust me, I won't hurt you. I'll remove them eventually, but not now. Just don't do anything, I mean you no harm. I'll be back." I couldn't avoid his grasp as he held both my arms and kissed my forehead.
As he finally left, tears began to stream down my face. I couldn't understand why he was doing this to me. Why did it have to come to this?
Was I wrong about the person I trusted?
Even if he says he means me no harm, I still can't be sure! If he meant me no harm, he wouldn't have done this!
Hours passed before the door opened again, causing me to quickly sit up and almost stumble because my feet were tied.
"I brought food for you. You need to eat." I didn't respond. "Hey, are you mad?"
"I-I don't want to eat... I'm not hungry." I replied weakly. And why was he asking if I'm mad!? Of course! It's infuriating! Why is he doing this? Even if I want to believe his claim that he won't harm me, I still can't be sure.
"I know you're hungry, Kau. Your tummy say so." I became even more annoyed when I realized my stomach had been growling. Traitor! It's always been a traitor!
"H-How can I eat when I can't see, Kian?"
"I'll feed you." What!? Does he really have to keep the blindfold on even for feeding me? "Open your mouth." I had no choice but to obey, slowly opening my mouth as he touched it with the spoon.
Wow. Is this Mang Inasal?
"Another one, eat a bigger piece of chicken." I heard his faint chuckle, but I ignored it. I continued chewing because I couldn't ignore my hunger.
"Be careful. Drink some water first." He even fed me water.
"Soak it in the sauce, then have more rice." I spoke again.
"Okay... I'm sorry, you were really hungry." I remained silent. I was just hungry, that's why I talked to him! But that doesn't change the fact that he kidnapped me!
He's a lawyer, right? He should know this is wrong! Very wrong!
After I finished eating, I heard his footsteps leaving again.
"Kian... Kian, when will you let me go?"
"A little bit of time."
*****
I woke up feeling hands that seemed to be moving over my body.
I thought the ropes and the blindfold were gone, but they're still here—wrong! The ropes on my hands and feet are gone, but I feel someone is holding me.
"W-Who are you!? L-Let me go!" I almost fought them, but I couldn't because it seemed like many of them were holding me.
"Don't move, Senyorita, you might get hurt." I froze when I heard her voice. A woman!? A woman is with me? "We're not bad people, we were just obeying orders. And we're all women too." I slowly calmed down.
"W-What are you doing? W-Why..." Why is my body wet!? W-Why does it feel like I'm not wearing anything!?
"We're giving you a bath, Senyorita. That's what we were ordered to do, so please don't move because we're almost done." My mouth hung open, unable to speak.
They slowly laid me down and began pouring water over my head.
Aside from being embarrassed because I'm now naked, I'm also wondering why they bathed me. And
I also try to keep my mind off what's happening right now! I've never shown my naked body to anyone!
"We're done.." they helped me stand up. I didn't say anything while they wiped my body and hair. They dressed me in panties, a bra, and other things. "Sorry, but we need to tie your hands again." I couldn't do anything as they tied my hands.
We started walking somewhere until we stopped when we heard the door open. I let out a sigh, what are they doing to me? 24 hours blind challenge?
And I can't move properly because of what I'm wearing. I think I'm wearing a dress! It's so high that I almost tripped while walking. It's a good thing they helped me a lot.
"All done, Sir," one woman said.
"Leave us," Kian's voice commanded. I immediately tensed up. "Come here, sit down."
"Kian... Where am I?" I asked, but he didn't answer. He just untied my hands.
"Sign this," he said, and I frowned.
"What is it?" I couldn't see anything. He placed something in my hand—a pen? "What am I supposed to do? I can't see anything, Kian."
"Just sign it."
"I can't see," I insisted. Why was he pushing this? And what was so important that I had to sign? How could I sign something I didn't understand?
"Sign it everywhere, just sign it," he repeated.
"What is this for?"
"You want me to take off your blindfold, right? Then follow me, be a good girl, Kau." I swallowed hard and slowly nodded. Reluctantly, I signed where he directed.
"O-Okay now?"
"Yes... That's my girl." He took the pen from me and tied my hands again.
"The hell, you really did it?" a voice said.
"Yes, I had to," Kian replied.
"Does Morgan and Regious know about this?" Didn't he plan to take off my blindfold? Did he really have time for chit-chat?
"You're the only one here. Obviously, you're the only one who knows about this."
"Woah. You're really amazing. Good luck, attorney," the man laughed.
"We need to go, Von. Thanks for this." Kian helped me stand and walk again.
"I thought you were going to take it off?" I asked, frustrated.
"A little bit more," he said, and I felt a surge of anger. Was he just playing with me? I heard the engine of a car starting, and despite wanting to throw a fit, I held back.
"Where are we going, Kian?"
"We're almost there," he replied, making me fall silent again.
The car stopped, and Kian helped me out and started walking again. Where were we now? Was he taking me back home? And what had I just signed? Questions swirled in my mind, but there were no answers.
"Kian..." I said softly as he slowly untied my hands and removed my blindfold.
"Welcome to your new home, Wife."
