Chapter 13 ‘Thriller’.

In the beginning, I felt like I could do this, but presently I doubt that.

We finished the event with some dance, diverse types of food were served (unfortunately, I still couldn’t pronounce the name of dishes properly), a small presentation of marketing strategy, employment and exchange of foreign goods-services.

Before, leaving Levi announced anyone interested in private party in the club. I was hell sure that I was going, I don’t have work for next coming two days, since the other species with coming from their respective civilizations.

I don’t have many tasks for nine coming days too. I walked into my apartment to change into something sexy for the club. I took off the makeup and made instant ramen noodles, ate it.

I walked to my closet, choose an off-shoulder black crop top which has long sleeves, frayed trim plaid tweed skirt, black knee-length heels and Burberry Poncho.

I did my hair into half twist fish braids. I put the foundation, eyeliner in feline style, mascara and maroon lipstick, lucky all were smudge-proof.

I walked downstairs, was thinking to book a cab, at that time a car appears, it stopped in front of me.

As the car door opens, I see Elijah and a woman of the same age as me sitting in the back seat, she smiles at me, I smiled back to her.

“Come in, quickly Melanie,” she said.

“Hello, Scarlett Johansson, no ‘hello’ to me,” I said sarcastically, she rolled her eyes dramatically. She did look like Elijah, she has an emerald eye and black hair similar to Elijah.

Well, Scarlett Johansson is a baby cousin of Elijah Max Erwin. Elijah did look like the same age, but wasn’t, he was much older than us well he is a hybrid, the wizard - vampire and the difference was only eighteen years.

You may be wondering if Scarlett is a witch or a vampire or a hybrid like her cousin. No, Scarlett is a human, she came from Elijah mother's side family.

Elijah’s mother is a human and his father is a wizard. It’s a very long story of how Elijah is a hybrid, but it is not my place to say.

The only thing that I can say is Elijah’s mother, Erika was bitten by a pureblood vampire during her pregnancy. And the other thing is that by a single bit nobody turns another into that species.

Four years ago people wonder, why hybrid was given a place in the human nation, even their relative didn’t want them, so why?.

The hybrid was considered as threats to the pure blood species. Hybrids are either too strong or too weak.

Out of two different species of a parent, their offspring turns out to be 64 % of the parent carrying dominant genes, 29 % of the parent carrying recessive genes and 7% which is nearly impossible, is of both the parents.

It is not easy to control a hybrid so in fear and insecure their people threw them out, without a second thought.

So, the human nation’s government given them a place to call home in exchange for their loyalty.

Well, it’s another time story how? And Why? I became the head of the hybrid community, even though I am not a hybrid and why my words are a law to hybrid all over the nations.

I sat in the front seat beside Elijah’s driver seat, Scarlett had put a plain black cat ear headband on my head. I looked back, she had a cat ear too.

It did match her outfit. It was a cat ear sharp, it’s frame was a golden color, which had small white roses on both the ear, she has worn a white lacy crop top, white mini skirt and white stiletto, also with grey cat fur-like, coat. Her makeup looked flawless.

“You both gals, look cute more than sexy” I looked at Elijah. I was thinking before, maybe I should have changed something bit sexy, I thought too sexy can make any women look like a slut and I don’t think anyone would like to look like that. It's too late now we have almost reached.

Neither Scarlett nor I said anything, we both were silent. Elijah as well as Levi things, it’s not good that a woman doesn’t speak, it shows the house whole of the family is not happy.

We reached, I and Scarlett got down, stood in the long line, as well as waiting for Elijah.

Elijah came to stand with us. A while later we enter the club.

The club was crowded with males were more than female, people in the club looked around 18 to 35 years old.

I look around noticed all women in the club were wearing the animal ears. “Girls, I will go and get you both drinks... Anything specific?” we shook our heads for ‘no’.

The songs were playing in different languages. I started to move my hips slowly to the music and Scarlett did the same we both started to dance.

A while later Elijah handed us low alcohol fruit beer, then God knows where he took off.

I look around found a circle was formed, my side all vampire females were there and Scarlett side witches were present, there were few handful numbers of human females too. The circle was nowhere near small, all were busy dancing to similar steps.

The next song was ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson. Scarlett and I started to dance in the steps from the video we saw on YouTube, as I call it ‘zombie dance’. The in the circle started to dance the same way. It was funny and cool, a bit creepy, but I enjoyed it.

Later, some guys also started to join the dance. The atmosphere in the club became more lively than before. I walked to the bar to get more drink for me and Scarlett, looked around people seem having fun and stood carefree.

A while later a loud bang noise came from outside. I stopped dancing, quickly ran towards the source.

Following me Levi, Elijah, Scarlett and Weylyn came. I heard Weylyns' beta and gamma shouting back. I didn’t know Weylyn was here, I did feel like someone was watching me but ignored the feeling.

I still can hear the music playing in the club, but it was faint, which means we were now far from the club.
