The cold air ripped down through the mountains and into the valley. Winding around the trees and tangling itself with the branches and leaves to linger gently through blonde tangled hair. The winds little fingers brushed her hair back as she stood perfectly still watching the small people below her.

Her tall stature was hid in among the trees standing on a tree limb up high away from prying eyes. Her bright blue eyes narrowed as she saw her target. Her strong yet small hands drew back her bow string, eyes narrowing slightly as she stared down her intended target. Her lips curling back in a snarl, he was her enemy by every account and this war had no mercy.

He was a mere human, her eyes closed as she breathed in, but why was he so handsome. His tall build with dark black hair. His brown eyes drew her in like a puppy begging for love. She watched as he drew his armour on and placed his sword to his side.

She snapped out of it realizing she had missed her shot, losing the advantage. Her master would be seething with rage if he found out. Rolling her eyes at her stupidity she leaned down off the branches to land softly onto her chestnut gelding standing below. Patting her horse she ushered him to move out with her legs softly.

This war needed to end, to many people had been injured and hurt. Enforced into the armys and into slavery. All because humans had been greedy and wanted more tithes and would now bow to the king. She cringed at the thought and bit her lips.

Her horse snorted under her and shifted to the left. Whipping her head to the right there he stood. Fear set in.

Chapter 1
"Where is she!" A booming voice was unleashed in the palace. The sounds of everything else stopped. "My Lord we do not know, she said she would be back last night." A calm voice spoke though he was clearly shaking in his armour. The tall lanky man pacing back and forth only seemed to get more worked up."Why did you let her go by herself?" His long silk robes swishing along the stone floor. His eyes burnt with a dark cold rage. The poor knight still on his knees in a bow and he quaked in reality this could be his last day in this god forsaken land. "My Lord I did try to go with her but you know how she is. She is like the wind, free and untamed. She is spirited as her mother. " Silence overtook the throne room, a gasp came from one of the maids who had been cleaning out of the way. No one dare mention the girls other in presence of the King. The tall lanky man stopped pacing and stood in front of the the knight bending his knee. His hand gripped his dagger as he fought his rage. Memories clouded the king's head as he thought of the girls mother. Her laughter, her tiny frame, her energy, the way she loved all and was carefree as a gentle dove swaying through the winds. No matter what storm tempered she would always burst through the gail and bring the sun with her. He had loved her, but she ....she had betrayed him..loved some one else..her daughter would not have that choice though. He snapped out of the thoughts with rage and with a swift move he drew out his dagger and sliced the knights throat. He wiped his blade off on his robe and placed it away as the body fell into a puddle of blood. He turned and walked to his throne, and sat down with control, and stared out to the rest of the grim faced knights. "Bring me Elsa before I kill the lot of you. She holds more value then any of you lot. Now begone." He barked out. The knights scrambled out as two of them dragged out their commanders dead body. They were at this insanes kings whims. Silently they prayed for the prophet would come so. The legend must be born soon, he had to come save them. This tyrant had to die for the crimes he had done against the kingdom. One knight saddled up his mount swiftly and swung aboard his black fresian, he was young, maybe 18 but his shoulder were held strong and proud. His heart pounded heavy but he wanted to save Elsa. He knew what their King wanted with her. Gripping the reigns tight he kissed to his mare and moved off in to a steady stride. Anger boiled in the green eyes, his red hair brushing down along his eyes. He would kill who ever laid hands on her. Kicking his horse up into a gallop after they had exited the walls of the castle. Time was short and he knew the dice was cast. He gently spoke like a mere whisper. "When the wind rips the kingdom in half, the wings of the gods will be reborn. He that rides the beasts of wrath will be the conqueror, like a gentle dove the kingdom will be." The cold wind hit into his face as he kept his mare moving forwards. Time was not on his side how would he save her. She was the link that the king needed. His stomach churned for he knew more then most, he had been touched by the gods and it gave him in site to the future. Yet he could not change it nor alter the course of the future what wasted gift the gods had given him. He could see the fragments of the future, he grasps what was coming, but he dare not tell anyone his gift. Magic was taboo in the kingdom now, anyone who could spin magic or see the future was beheaded.
