Chapter Fifteen

Adriana's POV

The nap was short because the girls returned from work. Mira and I talked for a while before she fell asleep. The girls were all tired and before I knew what was happening, there was pin drop silence. They were all asleep.

I take out the book I borrowed and continue to read through. As I turn to the next chapter, I am stunned by the title and graphics. The title is ' the human s*x life '.

This chapter is complete torture. It's pure pornography. There are explicit pictures of naked humans and different s*x positions. I quickly scan through cause I feel like I am going to puke my gut out. I've always felt like these creatures are perverted but the fact he has something like this in his library is just crazy.

" Holy f**k " I exclaim and shut the book. Mira turns on her bed but fortunately, she doesn't wake up. After ensuring that everyone is sound asleep. I opened the book. The page I was on was like nothing I've ever seen.

There were motion pictures displaying the different s*x positions. The figures in the book were having s*x in different positions. I may not have hooked up with anyone recently but spending time with Jeremy keeps me informed. Throughout my Adult life I've not seen anyone as dirty minded as Jeremy but these creatures make Jeremy look like a saint.

I could identify some positions in the book, like reverse cowgirl, doggy, missionary and butterfly. Some stuff in this book are f*****g weird like the positions are bizarre. ' How do people bend like this ' I asked myself.

Finally done with the chapter, I decided to close the book and get some rest.

After a few hours that annoying bell rings and rips my precious sleep away. We all get cleaned up then head to the kitchen. I wait for the other girls to fill up their tray since Ms Hilda has not arrived yet. She always arranges his food before I carry it to him. He gives her orders on what to prepare for him.

Finally Ms Hilda walks through the kitchen door. The girls have all gone to serve dinner. " The king will not be having his meal now. You can wait for dinner in the hall " She informed me before leaving the kitchen.

I stay in the kitchen for a while. I help the chef with a few dishes till the girls return. Once they get back our meal is served. I finished my meal quickly and rush out to meet the guys.

On getting to the garden I see only Jeremy. As if on cue he answered the very question in my head " Luis had an important assignment so he will not make it".

Jeremy moves closer then draws me in for a hug. The hug I silent and we just stay still. I can sense the hurt he's feeling. His heart is racing. I have not seen him like this before. He might be a teddy but he has always known how to suck it up. I taught him that. Jeremy has always been the person closest to me. The relationship between Jeremy and I goes way beyond being best friends. He understands me far better than Luis and he's always available. Whenever I'm an emotional wreck he's there. We've always been a safe space for each other.

Right now whatever s**t he has going on must be overwhelming. I stay quiet because I want to give him solace.

After about five minutes, he detaches from the hug. " I feel bad. I try to be strong for you and Mira but the whole thing is emotionally draining. Something happened to you and unfortunately you keep lying about it. The funny thing is that I don't blame you. There's nothing I can do to protect you or my sister. I hate feeling powerless " He says looking down at his palms.

I take his hands in mine and say " look at me. ( he doesn't respond ). Jeremy look at me( he lifts his head). I understand how you feel. I've felt worse. I want you to know that I'll protect everyone with everything that I've got. Mira is safe and I'm going to keep it that way till we can find a way to leave this Hell hole ".

He just nods then pulls me for another hug. We stay like that enjoying each others company.

" Hilda is looking for you. She is in the kitchen " Mira says while looking at her brother.

" Good night Teddy " I wave then return indoors. I walk straight to the kitchen. As I enter the kitchen, I'm greeted by an upset Hilda holding out a tray to me.

" Where have you been. it's been 10 minutes after dinner and he already asked for you. You know what, we'll deal with this later just take the meal up to him " she ordered. I take the tray from her and head to his room.

As I enter the room I notice that he's already sat. I move over to the table and place the tray.

Surprisingly he didn't start eating. He looked up from the food before him. when my eyes meet his, I notice the colour change. His eyes were red like blood stained red.

" Where were you? " he asked. you have got to be kidding me. He's angry because his food came late, what a joke. " I was at dinner " I answer with no emotion.

" Lying to me would be the most unreasonable thing you'll do. There's a scent lingering on you. I'll ask you one more time, Who the f**k were you with? " he asks and hits his hands on the table.

" I was with the girls having dinner " I answer once more. " Leave " he ordered. I walk out of the room and head back to the dorm.
