Lost And Found

*Lukas Pov*

Being beta of the royal pack may sound like a fun job but believe me it isn't most of the time. My name's Luka and yep you guessed it, I'm the beta of the most powerful pack on this earth. My father was a beta before me and my mother... well let's just say that's complicated for now. Today has been no different from any other day, did my usual errands, now it's time for me to go do some training of my own. Walking onto the training field the crowd begins to gather like it's the first time they're about to see my wolf. The older generation thankfully no longer see it as a big deal but the teenagers still find it fascinating, I give them an awkward smile because unfortunately I'm not rude, be easier if I was though. 

Taking a deep breath I begin my shift, I can feel the bones cracking but it doesn't bring me any pain, one of the benefits to my wolf. Once the transformation was done I shook out my wolf's fur letting him enjoy the breeze. My wolf is very proud of himself but I can't blame him, I'm proud of him too. Xavier is huge, he makes other male wolf's look like pups except for my alpha, we're roughly the same size. He has night sky fur including the different shades of the night sky but what amazes other wolves even more is the perfectly white moon crescent on my chest. Remember when I said the story of my mother was complicated? Well this is linked to that. 

Anyway time to begin training, just as I'm crouching into position...

"Border has been breached, we're heading over there now" one of the guards notify me.

Breached? Who the hell would try breaching the royals pack? I need to check this out too.

"On my way" I'm really intrigued to be honest.

"Should we make the King aware?"

"No, you know how he gets if there's a rogue involved besides he's in a meeting".

I've reached the spot before the other guards which isn't surprising, my wolf is also a lot faster than other wolf's, the second perk to my wolf. I shift back to my human form, still being fully dressed, perk number 3. 

I can hear whimpers and rustling but the whimpers don't sound like a wolf, this person is in their human form which is a bit strange especially for a rogue. Well not strange, Its unheard of. Getting closer I'm hit with a familiar scent, but it's not a mate scent... this is different. There she is, curled up in the bushes and sticks. I don't know what's wrong with me, I want to protect her, keep her safe. My wolf is getting unsettled, he wants to do the same. I get close enough to gently poke her with my foot into her back, she's stirs a little but not a lot. Maybe if I try a bit harder, she jumps up pinning her back against the closest tree looking around panicked. 

"I wanna say hey! Let me talk!" Xavier is getting weirdly excited.

"What? No let me talk" I push him back.

"Who are you? Why were you dumb enough to cross the royals border?" Hopefully she can still speak if she can turn into her human form.

"I.. I didn't know this was royal land. I apologise deeply but I didn't have a choice" her voice is so familiar. This is so weird.

"What is your name?" It's no longer usual questions, Im genuinely interested.

"It's Aria, Sir. Aria Solera"

Oh my god. I cant believe this...It's her! It's my baby sister! My mother would always speak of her once we stopped visiting at a very young age, I never thought I'd meet her again. This is amazing! 

Xavier takes advantage of my excitement and pushes past the barrier. I've shifted back into my wolf and hes pushed me to the back of our mind so now hes doing the talking. 

"Hi! I'm Xavier, we have sooool much catching up to do." He's mind linking her, even though she's not part of our pack she's directly related to me.

"H..how are we speaking through mind link? We're not in the same pack..." she looks curious too, maybe she's getting the same familiar feeling. 

"It's ALOT to explain but I will I promise. This is so awesome! Can I speak to your wolf?" Calm down Xavier, jeez you'll scare the poor girl.

"Why do you want to speak to Willow? She's not exactly a talkative wolf when in comes to stra.." think her wolf has interrupted her. "Oh um okay she'd like that too apparently"

Xavier starts acting like a pup again, bouncing on his paws, tongue hanging out and tail wagging so fast it's chipping away pieces of the tree next to our tail.

"Um would it be okay in human form? I've never shifted before so I" she's interrupted again but no by her wolf, my mine.

"Wait What? You've never shifted? How is that possible, you look like your about 19 so you should have by now" 

"I know but my wolf says it hasn't been safe before so she never let me"

"Well what does she say now?"

*3rd person pov*

Aria laid there in the dirt trying to focus on the spots of light piercing through the darkness that had swallowed her up but all she could do was let out little whimpers. "Aria... Aria! Wake up, someone's approaching" Willow tired desperately to reach out to Aria but she doesn't seem to be letting her in. All Aria could focus on was the object pushing into her back. "Aria wake the hell up girl!" Willow finally broke through, feeling it again she jumped up and backed up to the nearest tree trying to assess her surroundings. One thing that stuck out however was a particular scent, not a mates sent but a still a very familiar and yet comforting scent. She turned her head slightly to the left a saw a man standing there with a goofy smile on his face. He was about 6ft 2, very well built and caramel skin. His eyes were a forest green, she's seen these eyes before but it must just be a coincidence. He had a sharp jaw line, only a little stubble and a tattoo running up his arm which looked to be the packs history but that didn't surprise her, most high members of packs had them which means he is either a Beta or an Alpha. She couldn't feel the energy of an Alpha but it's been a long time since she's been around a real one so maybe her senses are off. Aria still analysing him and the weird connection only just caught his question, 

"Why were you stupid enough to cross the royals border" he seemed not moody but genuinely curious. Aria having no clue it was the royals border she quickly apologised giving him her name when he asked his next question. She wanted to know why habeas able to speak through mind link seeing as he was a pack member and I was a rogue, there's only one other way but that just isn't possible. Aria didn't realise the man in front of her had shifted into a wolf. She couldn't believe the size of him, his colours were beautiful and the crescent on his chest was something that had never been seen. Even though this giant wolf stood in front her she wasn't afraid, in fact she was the complete opposite, she felt incredibly safe. She thought the wolf in front of her was actually being very cute, hopping around like a puppy but his tail was swinging so hard he was taking the tree out beside him yet he seemed too excited to realise. He introduced himself as Xavier but what she picked up on was that they had a lot to catch on, she couldn't work out what he meant. Her attention snapped back to him when he asked to meet Willow. 

"I'll meet him" Willow interrupted her. Aria was in complete shock, what made it suddenly okay to show herself. "It'll have to be quick though, other wolves will be here soon".
