Shoujo-ai/Yuri = Two related media genres in Japan where the main plot is a love relationship between two girls or women. Shoujo-ai means girl-love and generally is of a more innocent nature. It doesn’t mean that the characters are girls, it’s mainly to differentiate that there is little to no s****l content in the stories. Yuri means lily in Japanese and is of a more s****l nature, not just focusing on romantic love. I enjoy reading both of them, at different times.
