Canon = Official story content created by the creators of a story. Sometimes there is a difference between the original manga or light novel and the anime adaptation of it. And, depending on the creator’s account of the story, it could be canon (for example a sweet scene in the anime that didn’t show up in the previous work but still adds to the story) or it could not be canon (for example when it’s just material to make the anime longer but doesn’t add anything, also called filler). Fans can get really enthusiastic about something being canon or not.
I don’t know if it was the best choice to make. To ask Izzy to take things slowly, to try and make this work, one tiny step at a time. I have no idea if this is going to work out for us, but seeing her upset like before, watching
