Peace and Love

It was a beautiful summer afternoon, not a cloud in the sky. The birds sung their melodies throughout the trees. Emma walks through the forest taking in every sight and smell around her. She smiles as the lake began to appear before her. “We’re here!!” Emma yells excitedly towards the large group of people. Everyone starts to shout with excitement. As she reached the lake, she took no time in stripping down to her bathing suit and headed straight for lake. Everyone rushing to join her. Within minutes the lake was a booking party! Music played loud, people shouting and laughing. Emma was on top of a small hill that had a rope swing. The crowd around her shouting “ chuck chuck chuck!” Emma slams a beer, grabs the rope running off the small cliff. As she swung through the air she released the rope and performed a backflip. Everyone is cheering her on as she resurfaced. Nina was the first to ask where she learned how to do that. Emma laughed as Nina handed her another beer. Nina and Emma have been best friends since they were in elementary school. Nina was stunningly beautiful. Her long black hair was wavy and thick and her eyes were as blue as the sky. Nina and Emma spend the next few hours drinks and smoking at the lake. As they were made there way into the lake. They were about waist deep when they heard someone shout “ watch out!” Before Emma could think a tall and handsome man had put himself in front of her and grabbed her by the waist and caught the incoming volleyball. Emma gasped as she seen the ball about to hit her. He apologized for the ball almost hitting her still holding her. Emma could feel his muscles holding her in place. She spoke softly “that’s alright it was an accident. Would you mind if we join you?” A smile grew on his face as he spoke, “Are you sure you can handle it? We play rough.” “I’m sure we can. The question is can you?” Nina spoke with a grin on her face. “ I’m sure we can sweet thang” one of the other players said making Nina snap her head toward him. “I’m Emma and this is Nina by the way” Emma basically whispered in his ear. He slowly release his hold on her “Brandon this is Dom.” They began to play water volleyball. It was boys against girls. Little did the boys know Emma and Nina played high school and college. As they played they noticed Brandon and Dom knew what they were doing but couldn’t move fast enough against Emma’s spikes. They played a few games before wanting to suntan and relax for the rest of the day. It was 5:24 pm, Emma decided it was time to head back and Nina argued. The party was still going and probably would for a few more hours. The walk back was about 20-30 minutes depending on which way you went. Emma and Nina had been walking for 10 minutes when Nina said “ I have to go the bathroom. Right now!” She ran behind a few trees and bushes. Emma left standing there walked over by a large stomp sitting down on it waiting for Nina to return. A few minutes had passed when Emma had realized that Nina hadn’t come back yet. She stood and walked by the trees Nina disappeared behind as she got closer she heard muffle noises. She moved closer to see Nina and Dom kissing each other intensely. With that sight Emma turned and yelled “I’m not waiting for you I’ll see you later!” Emma had been walking for what felt like a while. She checked her phone. It has been an hour since she last seen Nina. She began to panic as the realization that she was lost was setting in. It was 6:30pm and getting dark. She began to shiver as she was wearing a summer dress and a wet bathing suit underneath. Emma What was I thinking leaving Nina! I should have waited or gone back to the lake. The forest is huge, I could die out here! I began to look around for anything familiar. Nothing! Nothing but trees and more trees. Oh and look another tree! As the minutes went by I sat on the forest ground not knowing what to do. I didn’t have cell service and my battery is at 2%. As I sat there for a while I feel at peace. Nature is a beautiful thing. I was lost in my thoughts when I heard footsteps I stood up looking towards the sound of the steps trying to see who it is. I spoke nervously “Hello?” The voice returned “ Are you okay?” I sign of relief “thank god I’ve been lost for a while now.” Brandon stepped out into the moonlight and grabbed me as to inspect I was indeed alright. “Nina came back to the lake without you and I got worried” he said. “We were suppose to be going home until she ‘had to use the restroom’ and I’d seen her with Dom. So I decided to keep going, I didn’t think I would get lost.” “I’m just glad I found you be…” “ now which way?” I interrupted him. He looked at me worried. “I don’t know I just went the way they told me I didn’t think you would be this find out here.” He said. We began to walk to direction he came for before to long we found our way back to the lake. By that time it was 11pm and everyone had gone home. We both had sobered up and decided to sit by the lake with our feet in the water. He made me feel safe, almost warm inside. I smiled and looked up to meet his eyes. He was already looking at me. “Hi, I’m Brandon flats I love to be out in nature and being with a small group of close friends and family.” “I’m confused we meet earlier today?”I said “ I know but I want to get to know you better. There’s something different about you. You’re competitive and strong. Most of the women I know are obedient and meek. You even got lost but didn’t panic.” I was taken aback by this. A man I’ve never met before likes how difficult I can be. “ you’re joking?” I questioned. He chuckled taking my hand in his.”Will you let me take you on a proper date?” He asked. How could I say no to him. He is a true gentleman and truly hot. “ I’ll except under one condition.” I said “ What would that be” he smiled as he spoke. I began to get cold as the night progressed. Brandon had noticed moving behind me wrapping his body around mine. We sat together like that for about an hour before I started to yawn. Brandon spoke after a minute “We should head back it’s getting late and we still have to walk out of here.” I replied “Good idea, any longer and I would have fallen asleep.” He chuckled helping me stand. “I guess I should have wait so I could see how cute you look when you sleep” he chuckled some more. “If you think snoring is cute” I retorted. We headed back to the vehicles. It’s wasn’t until we reached the edge of the forest I realized Nina drove me. I looked at Brandon hoping to not bother him any further. “I actually forgot Nina drove. Can you take me home?” I looked at my feet stopping to feel like a burden. “ Of course I can. If you don’t mind me knowing where you live?” He responded “ I think it’s perfectly okay since we’ll be going on a date.” I replied. “ Seems fair.” He opened the passenger door for me. “Thank you, how kind of you.” I stated “ Anything for you Love” he said. The way Love rolled off his tongue sent chills down my spine. Each pasting moment Brandon becomes more attractive. I navigated him towards my home. As we reach the driveway and park. He looks deeply into my eyes and asks “ Did you enjoy your time tonight?” Again a gentleman. “Because of you, I had a wonderful evening thank you very much Brandon. Before I forget here is my number.” I said as I handed him a sticky note with my number on it. He smiled and took it without hesitation. He quickly hopped out of the car and opened my door. He walked me to my front door before saying “ Have a good nights rest love. I’ll call you soon.” He started to turn before I grabbed his arm turning him around. “ Shouldn’t I get a goodnight kiss?” I asked basically begged. He smirked and quickly pulled me into him. My lips clashing with his, as if they were dancing. It was beautiful, something I’ve never experienced before. I grew weak in my knees almost clasping. He held me up keeping me in place. I’ve kissed other people before, but this was different. It felt like home, it felt it peace and love. I knew he felt it too by the way he craved more. “Sta-ayy?” I mumbled between each breath. He didn’t answer with his words before he picked me up with ease. About to walk through the door his phone rang. He looked at it with a quick glance before breaking away from the kiss. “ I’m sorry I have to go, it’s not polite to stay the first night.” He spoke softly. “Promise you’ll call me?” I begged him “ Of course I will Love. I’m going to be busy tomorrow, but I promise to call you after tomorrow.” He kissed my forehead be leaving. I headed inside feeling alive and happy. I headed to my room and changed into my night shorts and tank top. Headed to the bathroom brushed my teeth and used the bathroom. After I was done I was ready for bed. I laid in bed thinking about Brandon. Before to long sleep took hold.
