Chapter 31Charlie was going to wait until ten o'clock to walk over to Nolan's place...but then she gave him until ten-thirty for good measure. Even at that, she wasn't sure he'd be awake, since she'd seen no signs of life over there. At least she didn't have to worry about waking anyone else in the house. Nolan's father's car still wasn't in the driveway; apparently, he wasn't back from his latest business trip yet. When no one answered her first three rings of the doorbell, Charlie thought Nolan was still asleep.
