Chapter 48Another cop showed up and talked to the first cop out of earshot. Then, the two of them called Charlie and Nolan away from the car and led them around to the back of the building.
As soon as they turned the corner, Charlie spotted the sea foam green Civic parked along the rear wall. Gloria, Sutra, and Virgil weren't far away; the three of them were lined up near the back door--the main entrance to The Bunker--being talked to by the chief of police.
Charlie and Nolan ended up at the same place, exchanging glances with their teammates. Gloria looked cool and unruffled, but Sutra and Virgil were wide-eyed with worry.
Chief Avery spun and came face to face with Charlie. "More of you?" He was a slim man of average height, just under six feet, with a bald head and a big hooked
