Chapter 50Charlie was alone in the Mustang as she drove up to the park at Baker Dam. She and Nolan had made the half-hour trip from town together, reviewing their plans along the way. A mile from the park entrance, she'd dropped him off in the woods; he'd given her one last feverish kiss and run off with the rifle, his black hoodie and sweats disappearing in the darkness.
