CHAPTER 5

She immediately rushed out of her house and boarded a taxi to Raymond’s house, not minding how she looked. She paid the taxi and ran to Raymond’s door. She knocked vigorously, hoping that he would open the door immediately.

As Raymond opened the door, she immediately jumped into his arms and kissed him. They kissed for a while and she said “I love you too”. She spent the night at his apartment.

Their love journey has well begun feeling all rosy and more like heaven. They would hang out together, go shopping and have a whole lot of fun.

“What is this!!!” Raymond exclaimed as he opened his mail that morning. It was a tape of Rosaline having s*x with a stranger. The same tape was sent to Rosaline’s phone together with some nudes of hers.

He was shocked at what he was seeing. He never believed that Rosaline could do such a thing until he saw that clip. “Baby has no idea about this, believe me” with tears in her eyes.

Raymond did not want to hear anything from her. He quickly dismissed her and told her to leave him alone. He further accused her of sleeping with several men and being a slutt.

All these were not true but how will Rosaline justify herself? She was heartbroken that the man who was supposed to stand by her at this moment did not trust her. She kept on begging him to hear her out but all efforts proved futile.

The following day, she went to the police station to find out if they could help her get to the bottom of the matter and find out who did this to her.

They did some research, and with the help of their technical team they traced the file and after some days found out that it was an edited clip.

When Rosaline was called and given the good news she was very happy that she got vindicated. She explained it to Raymond who had a sober reflection on his actions and felt deeply sorry.

“Baby please I am deeply sorry for not trusting you” he begged kneeling before Rosaline. “I just need a break, I will be going back to the house for a while” walking out on him with her bag.

She got back to her house thinking of why he lacked so much trust in her. For her true love comes with trust. And the act up by Raymond made her feel he loved her less.

Raymond kept on calling and begging her to come back. Two weeks had gone and she was still not going back.

One bright Monday morning, Raymond stopped at her door and knocked. She opened to see Raymond holding a flower and sobbing quietly. She immediately hugged and said “It’s okay baby, I have forgiven you”. He came in and spent some time with her, helped her pack her bag and took her back to his house.

United happily once again, the two love birds made amends and put all that has happened behind them.

“Will you marry me?” Raymond said going down on one knee and offering Rosaline a ring. She was surprised and could barely say a thing. “Yes! Yes!!!” placing her hand for him to put in the ring.

She hugged him tightly and kissed him on the lips as joy filled her heart. She could not believe that her life was set on a journey of love and they both were getting married. It was a dream come true for her.

She got married to Raymond, the man of her dreams and they got joined in holy matrimony. This whole scenario changed the life of Rosaline.

She was happy she had a beautiful life starting for her. She never expected that she would be a wife to a promising young man and finally stop her job.

She would always thank Raymond for loving a homeless girl like her despite the life that she lived. And he would always assure her that her life was never bad and that she never decided to ever be like a slutt and for that he respected her.

Two months later,

Rosaline was found to be two months pregnant. This news sparked another light of joy in them. They were so excited about the news.

They would always argue about the s*x of the child. Raymond wanted a girl but Rosaline wanted a boy.

It is always a loving moment to behold the two couples argue about the s*x they wanted.

Most times, Rosaline would have thoughts of becoming a good mother to her baby. But her supportive husband would always tell her that she is the best.

He would regularly tell her that no other woman could do it better than she could.

Few weeks later,

Rosaline got a call from the police. They told her that after much search and investigations, they found the person behind the blackmail. They revealed the identity to her and to her surprise it was a mutual friend.

Donald, who is Raymond’s best friend and also a very close friend to her beginning from college, was revealed to be the mastermind behind the blackmail.

This left Raymond and Rosaline in serious shock as they could not seem to understand why Donald pulled such a costly trick. They both trusted him so much.

Donald confessed that he had feelings for Rosaline to his friend Raymond, but he quickly apologized when he told him that they were both in a relationship. This actually happened when Raymond and Rosaline had just begun their love story.

Raymond most times would leave Donald with Raymond and go about his daily activities, and he would not have any second thought that he would try to harm Rosaline. Rosaline would always spend the whole day chatting with Raymond until her husband returns from work.

Two days after the discovery, Rosaline received a message on her phone very early in the morning. She opened the message and it read, “Be careful, watch your back”
