Aerith Dallaeris was just a lowly maid working in the palace but her mundane life came to a halt when she was captured by a dragon that mistook her as the princess.

What more is that the dragon would definitely kill her the moment he knew that she wasn't the princess that he was looking for and is just a palace maid. Aerith now has to come up with various methods to keep herself alive to escape, even if it means taming the dragon prince.

Prologue
"Did you have a nice dream, my lady?" The sun had just came out from the edge of the earth, but we were already strutting in the palace's famous rose garden. This has already been part of my daily routine so I grew accustomed to waking up so early, and besides, the garden at sunrise gleams vibrantly at this time of day. "Unfortunately, I had already forgotten what kind of dream I had." the soothing voice reverberated across the place that can almost guarantee that it made the budding roses bloom out of the blue. "But I do hope it is a nice dream," "I am certain that it is," a maid from behind me answered and I turned to smile at her to make sure that I heard her remark for the princess beside me. Yes, the princess is just waltzing beside me with her overly huge gown, while I am just a palace maid. The other two servants and I were tasked to accompany the princess every morning. Not that I am complaining since this is what I signed up for when I had nothing else to do, but the princess can pick any time of the day to visit the garden but she chose this time, 5 am. The time where birds sing their lungs out for no reason, the time where the morning mist freezes you to death, also the time where all the other handsome young knights are still asleep so I couldn't indulge myself in staring at them. I have barely gotten any sleep last night for listening to my roommate rant about being helplessly tired of working and now I had to listen to the princess talk about how beautiful the roses are or how vibrant the sky is and yada yada yada some more princess stuff she usually talks about and I had to smile at everything she says. "Hey, Aerith." Princess Thalia, turned to face me with a mischievous smile plastered on her face. Seeing that smile instantly made me know that she is up to something again, and this time it involves the two guards who were passing by the garden. Even though whatever order she would give, I have no choice but to obey and show a thin smile. "Yes, my lady?" I answered her and she was already taking off her outer blue dress. I did not have any time to stop her as she had already placed the dress over my head and it rested awkwardly] on my shoulders. "What are you planning, my lady?" I answered with the same tone I had since the beginning while she tries her best to cover my maid uniform with the blue dress she just had on. "Try this on and seduce those guards, I want to see something remarkable!" She chuckled and I chuckled back, forced of course. Nothing she says is funny anyway. "May I ask how did you come up with this kind of skit, my lady?" I did not mind how gaudily I was dressed, I just want to leave already. She dragged me all the way behind a bush while the other two maids discreetly followed us from behind. Come to think of it, maybe the reason why they always walk behind us is that so the princess won't involve them in her pranks. Those sneaky women, I hate them now. "Just go!" She gave me a slight push out of the bush and I had almost tripped in front of the guards who were just patrolling the area, but at least I caught their attention for suspiciously emerging out from the bushes.  I was certain that my hair had twigs and leaves on it but I did not care, I won't be able to leave this situation if the princess is not amused, so with a long pause, I winked at them and pouted my lips, attempting to use the very minimal appeal I have. I was expecting to get laughed at for acting like an i***t but instead, I was met with their blood-curdling screams that made me flinch. Is my s*x appeal so horrid that I didn't even deserve any sign of amusement from them but instead a frightened expression? "Why on earth are you screaming-" I followed the guards' line of sight which is above me and saw a ghastly scaled monster descending at a fast pace in my direction. Oh.  "Aerith!" As big as this monster is that makes me freeze in fear, I still managed to turn my head to see the princess running to my direction in an attempt to save me since the flying monster was obviously targeting me. The next thing I knew is that I was captured and was pulled skyward, with the garden quickly becoming smaller as I was pulled higher and higher until I could not see anything else but white clouds. I may have been captured by a fire breathing serpent and my life may come to an end soon, at least I died knowing that I was not the reason why those guards screamed in horror when I winked at them. I still have my charms after all, I could have easily seduced them. - "Ack!" I was thrown on the ground as if I was nothing more but a rag doll, I rolled so many times before coming to a stop when I finally hit the wall. The dragon landed just in front of me and let out a feral noise, so loud that it shook the building we are in that looked like an abandoned tower. Oh, I know. I have read so many fairy tales about this, about a dragon that kidnaps young women and locks them in a tower. "You will be my prisoner from now on." A husky voice sounded out as I was remembering the contents of the book I just read that resembles the situation I am currently in. I looked up to see that the dragon was slowly shifting into a human. May I rephrase that... a handsome human, his skin was tanned, scars covered half of his fit body, and his jaw can cut me all he wants because of its crazy sexiness. May I also add that he is naked considering that he just shifted from a colossal dragon to a person.  "Yes please, I am your prisoner," I answered back with so much passion that I had completely forgotten that I had almost died because of him throwing me across the room, is it possible that I am a masochist? "You are never to leave my side, princess Thalia." He grabbed me by my chin and forced me to look at his blazing red eyes that slowly became brown.  I was mesmerized. "Of course... I would... never... leave your side." Sometimes, I would love to hit myself for not reading the situation I am in. This man is a shape-shifting scaled monster that kidnapped me from the palace and could probably kill me any moment now but here I am fantasizing about him just because he is incredibly handsome. An out of this world type of handsome. He pushed me back that once again made my head hit the wall, that was enough to bring me back to my senses. "Wait, princess Thalia?" I asked with a lot of confusion evident in my tone of speaking and because of that, it made him turn around to face me again but this time his face looked so angry, I can see a hint of fire coming out of his luscious lips.  Damn, I slapped my cheeks to reprimand myself for thinking such perverse thoughts that his lips were luscious despite flames whooshing out of it. I am certain that something is wrong with me, my mind and heart can't decide on one thing resulting in me losing all my remaining common sense and rationality. "Umm, yes I am princess Thalia..." For a moment, I lost my composure. If he was to know that I am not the princess then I would get more than being thrown out of the room. "But people usually call me Aerith, that is my nickname. I am just not used to being called princess Thalia, haha." I had finally felt fear rush through my veins but I managed to brush it off with a forced laugh. Good thing I spent 2 years serving the princess where no matter what odd orders she gives or what nonsense she says I would just chuckle and smile. He scoffed before walking out of the room, what on earth is this monster going to do to me if he finds out he got the wrong woman? More importantly, only an i***t would mistake me for being a princess. Princess Thalia has long blonde hair that shines brightly if hits by the sunlight, alluring blue eyes that resemble a luminous crystal, porcelain skin, and most of all... voluptuous breasts. Those are the characteristics of princess Thalia while I had deep black hair, untrimmed brows, dry lips, freckled face, uneven skin tone, and all the other things that can make anyone see that I don't take care of myself. One thing is for sure... despite being a beastly handsome dragon, he is still an i***t.
