The aftermaths of the storm did Pierce terrible. Living alone in his father's farmhouse, he's never been frustrated this much until this morning when he found out his dad's old dog is missing, and he got a dead girl in her bed. 'Just almost dead' His mind is dizzy hoping.
It didn't do him any good; the rain, plus he gotta find a way of saving this woman's life given the nearest hospital in the valley side is more than a miles away. He had known this the hard way when he hit his head bad on a bicycle one visit a decade ago. It took his grandpa two hours minutes just to take him there and he's sure that will be the same for the woman.
Pierce had never done a pancake as good as this before, he doesn't even cook for himself. He left his room with the breakfast beside his bed. The fields are still wet and he shouldn't be seeing this but can't keep his mind out of the woman; the reason hes up early than any day in his life.
Regarding the field, he's grateful theres no crop. He's unsure of growing one given the storms, and he's lazy to even get up on his bed. The woman had a wound up her head and the nurse he'd called two hours ago still wasn't here. 'Where the hell did she came from anyway?' He wandered back to the house to check-
"s**t! Lady?!" He gasped when he saw no one laying and few traces of blood up the pillows. 'f**k, her woun-' He stumbled down hitting face first.
Pierce sat awoke in the heaviness of his head and with soft murmurs in him around. The old red chair that has been sitting around in nowhere has his hands and legs tied up. 'That woman!' He had the bruise of his heavy metal baseball bat behind his back and his now boiling head. 'Who the hell is there! Untie me. Now!"
"Have you seen anyone?" Yulo paused at his sister. "No, I didnt came to check, I thought I should let you know first" "Thats good we can leave now-" "W-W-Wait!" He motioned his hands to stop. "The guy" Yulos disconcerted a stare towards the back. "Wont you help him?" "Hes not important, come on we need to-" "HEYY! Somebody going to help me or what?!"
Pierce's hands sored red after the thick brown ropes. He felt the glow of the morning light once again, and two figures standing in front of him. "You!-" "W-w-w-wait!" Yulo interrupted his dawning rage for his sister. "Are you out of your mind?!" No response. "I think hes talking to you" Yulo pursed his lips a little. "Well, hes free. Lets get out of here" "Your wound" Pierce started unwrapping his body.
"Bleeds a lot." Pierce carefully slid his hands in her head. "God what on earth are you thinking. You could have died." "Im fine, I dont need your help" He kept on wrapping her head in gentle traces of bandage and she doesnt even react, no flinches and weepings.
Pierce stood up to wash himself, he soaked a cotton cloth to clean his sweat then paced the little kitchen tiles of brown marble to the mahogany table. The barnhouse looked old but he kept his interiors intact, just like his dad always do. "So you ate even my breakfast and now youre planning to run like you didnt just bound the person who rescued you?" "She likes breakfast" Yulo grinned but thought he shouldnt have said that. Aside from the reason that he missed company, his sister is cautious of everyone.
The heavy rain did nothing but flood the valleygrounds which left to wet the bounty lands that will bake it dry in the afternoon. Pierce didnt want to let the two go, even if he doesnt hesitate to think that in the next minute, his living room would be missing a furniture or two. Natalya looked completely different than when he carried her up from the valley, her pure black hair came to be much rigid than last night. She has company though, an innocent looking little boy, which he assumed is her brother and he knew he shouldnt just trust him mainly because he talks a lot, if that raises suspicion.
Its the second week after the full moon, the last didnt turn so well. And he knew this two would end up getting caught inside an earthquake or another storm, the same last week brought this vengeful valley. He best keep them inside maybe for the night or two. "No, were leaving after this lunch, we are not interested to stay" Natalya firmly spoked as if bacons and ham werent stuffed inside her mouth. "The valley is going to hit another mark tonight. Im certain of it. And I doubt you can make it pass it" It made her stopped for a second but ignored it fast.
'Definitely not some ordinary people' Pierce scratched his head watching the two devour plates after plates of food. 'Well at least I know how to get them talking' "Where do you guys live? I might just take you before dark" "We can trail back alone" She looked back wiping her lips. "I dont care of the mark, we can do it alone" He can win an argument with this frail lady by simply insisting that she cant even walk straight because of her head. Yulo stood up and pause right at the window with the two bickering.
"So you know of the mark" Hes became much intrigued. "Better than you and-" "H-hey g-guys." Yulo thinked nothing but black. His body is unmoving, eyes glared outside the window. There is no light, theres is just void. The complete brightness of the morning went nowhere.
"What. the. hell." He whispered.
"Where the hell are you two?!" Natalya cant see a thing, no lights were open because of the morning sun, now theres noting but hollows. "I cant see you t-" "GET DOWN!" Pierce pulled both two back to where they stumbled hearing walls creaking. "Run to the bedroom!" "I cant see anything!" Natalya screamed as she tried her best to scrambled her way forward grabbing Yulo in her right hand. Fogs and fogs formed outside but it remained dark, the blow of the dark winds were heard beneath the cracking walls.
Pierce slapped a button that turned a swinging chandelier on beside the living room, the place turned yellow. "To the bedroom, now!" Yulo opened the thick door and went ahead leaving Natalya and Pierce outside. The chandelier stopped its swing and it was dead air. Both of them can hear the panting beats of each one. The window's still black and they stared in blankness. "What. The f**k is. That" Pierce grabbed her inside as she lost thought.
