Elora “Thank you,” Kol’s mom whispers as we throw the pieces of the broken cup in the bin and I tell her not to mention it. She tries to smile at me, her hands trembling as she blinks rapidly, like she is trying to hold back tears, and just then Ria’s dad enters. He stops and they look at each other before he takes slow steps inside advancing to her.
