“Are you ready?” I whisper, smiling at Fifi as I pick her up before giving myself a once over in the mirror again. Just then there’s a knock on the door and Arlo walks inside. We share a kiss before he takes Fifi, placing a kiss on her forehead. He compliments me and I compliment him back. He asks us how we slept and I tell him we slept well even though I didn’t really sleep and I’m exhausted. Fifi kept me up most of the night.
