Chapter Twenty-five

“Well? Where are my signed papers and video confirmation?” Dennis asked Rose and Storm. “These are the papers. The video is coming up soon, still working on it.” “What are you working on? We do not have time lady.” “Of course I’ll have to make sure that the video is spot on so it doesn’t give him the opportunity to debunk any of it. The drink and all,” “I see. How long will that take?” “I’ll send it to you, tonight.” Rose said to him. “So, mi amor,” Dennis said as he put his hand on her shoulder but she removed it immediately. “I’ve told you not to call me that Dennis.” “Why? Because your boyfriend is here?” “He is not my boyfriend.” “But the posts I saw this morning,” “The posts are a scam!” She fumed and exited the room. “I’m guessing she’s fiery in bed as well?” Dennis said wiggling his brows at Storm. “We’ll talk later Dennis.” Storm left his office. He was followed by awkward stares from people. “People just cannot mind their damn business.” “You put up your business on the internet, what did you expect?” Susan said as she got up from the waiting chair where she waited for the brief meeting to end. “Susan Susan Susan. What are you doing here?” “Just here to spend some quality time with my brother. You’ve been through a whole lot and…” “How much do you need? I’m aware that father has frozen your account.” “All of them! Uugggghhhh!!!!” “I’m not surprised. He keeps getting reports that you’ve been bunking your classes.” “I mean, the reports are not entirely false.” “Susan, in as much as I hate classes, they play a major role later. What if some day we wake up and find out that father owed a lot of people money and they take it all away, when he dies.” “So you want him to die?” “No Susan! I’m trying to give you a perfect perspective that would convince you to take your classes more seriously and get a degree.” “I don’t know you to be the type of guy to hook up with his enemy and tweet about it the following day, or post about it on **, what came over you?” She asked as they approached his car. “You’re right. I am not that kind of guy and I wish some people would believe me.” “She burned down the hotel, didn’t she?” “I would do the same to any guy if they had done the same to you. I just don’t know what happened.” “So you guys actually screwed each other?” “I cannot be talking about this with you. You’re a child.” “I’m nineteen,” “Soon to be nineteen, in a few months. You’re just eighteen so stick with the ABCs of your age,” “So you truly don’t know how the photos surfaced online, under your name?” “I’ve been hacked.” “You’ve been hacked? That’s not a problem.” “It’s a big problem Susan. It’s disrupting a whole lot.” “I can track the person who hacked your account,” “How much do you want?” “Oh nothing.” “Nothing? Really Susan?” “Just an invitation to your wedding.” “Wedding?” “To Rose.” “Okay, that’s enough with the madness. I’ll transfer two thousand to you.” “That’s not enough.” “What in the world are you doing with money? I hope you’re not dealing drugs or taking them?” “Ew no. That’s for people who have un-interesting lives. As for me, the drama in our family is enough for me to stay till the end. Sober.” “So, three?” “Five.” “Five? Done. Get in the car and perform that magic.” He said to her as he unlocked the car. “Hold on big boy, isn’t that your damsel in distress?” Susan said as she noticed Rose in the drivers seat of her car banging her head on the steering wheel. “Damn, this thing hurt her deep.” “Well, go ahead and find out who did it?” “You should go over there and comfort her.” “Comfort? Rose? Are you out of your mind?!” “It puts you in the good books. I’m sure father would be proud.” “I can perceive the sarcasm,” “Obviously. It’s just a ridiculous plan that will land you in a whole lot of trouble.” “Don’t worry about me. Do your job now,” “Not until you go over there.” “I’m not speaking to her.” “The scandal will carry on for days. She’s probably planning how to wipe away your generation,” “You have a weird way of changing the minds of people,” “What can I say? The gods blessed me with a perfect gift.” “Fine.” Storm said as he shut the door of his car and walk towards Rose’s car. He knocked on the window of her car. Rose turned to face him, and then looked away. “AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!” She screamed but it wasn’t so loud because he was outside. “Wow, that is a lot of rage.” She continued to hit her head against the steering wheel. “She should just open up. It’s not like her nudes were posted or something,” he knocked again on her window. He watched her sigh, and then roll down her window. “Here to take some more photos? Here, let’s do it. I have some amazing poses,” “Rose I did not upload those photos. You took your revenge way too far. Lives were almost lost,” “Almost.” “That’s because some vampires were in town so I got help. Most were injured and landed in the hospital for immediate treatment.” “I do not care. You dragged me in the mud.” “Exactly. I did. Not those people,” “Well, I do not care.” “You know what, maybe you do deserve to be posted for bad on the internet. Next time, I hope it’s your nudes that gets leaked.” “How funny because I do not participate in such. What are you doing here? Beside my car?” “I came to apologize.” “I haven’t heard that ever since all through your blabbering,” “Why would I say sorry though? I did not take those photos. I did not upload them. I had been sound asleep beside you for the first time in my entire life.” “What? You don’t sleep? Or you scare yourself with the nightmares you always have? It’s really sick of you to have done that to me after I catered to your traumatized ass the entire night.” “For goodness sake Rose. How many times did I tell you that I did not upload those photos?!” “I will not believe you until I see proof.” “My brother is right.” “You forgot to add step?” “At least he doesn’t shut me out of our companies and businesses because he’s jealous of overtake him.” Storm chuckled beside Susan, who kept a plain face. “For a whole lot reasons I do not like you. Number one being that you’re plain rude. I would not like to be here but would enjoy to watch you suffer but my dear brother wants his hands clean and his racking his head on the actual truth. See for yourself, his accounts had been hacked. I just retrieved the accounts and set up a more secured password, because who puts their birthday as a password in this day and age?” Susan said looking over at Storm and shaking her head. “It’s easier to remember.” “Anyways, here it is, apparently it’s my fool of a brother, Robin. How he got the pictures I do not know. I believe he got the help of one of your workers in the hotel to sneak into your room with a master key and take the photos. Maybe that wasn’t the initial plan but he saw it as a great opportunity, to kill two birds with a stone.” Rose got the iPad from her and studied the information on there. “Do you see now, that it is not Storm. He does not degrade himself to get even, but you on the other hand, would swim in the mud. My work here is done, I’ll be waiting in the car Storm.” With that, Susan took away the iPad from her and returned to the car. “Sorry, not sorry.” “Same.” Storm said. “Well, if you must know that I felt very good after destroying the Reed hotel, still feel good about it. I’m worried about something else.” “Well, that’s satisfying to hear. See you around red head.” “Later slow brain.” She ignited the engine of her car and drove out of the parking lot. “You’re definitely catching feelings for the Blanc girl.” “You’re entertaining imaginations in your head. We need to get you a therapist.”
