Chapter Thirty-one

“You have no right to kill me. He has imprinted on me already.”
“You’re wrong! The only way such ties can be broken is on the basis of deceit.” Sidonia threw a light ball towards Rose which she dodged effortlessly. Rose aimed her head as she charged towards her immediately, a wave of light following her as she jumped on Sidonia. Without wasting a second she widened her mouth and bit her head.
“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH… ! ! !” Sidonia screamed until her head was completely ripped off her head. Rose threw it out of the window and transformed immediately taking a lighter and diesel in her hand. She dragged the body out of the house into the field along with her head that was in another area of the house. She lit it and stood by the fire watching the body burn to ashes.
Jack stood beside her, extremely confused and shocked.
“Exactly what happens when you mark me out of the family and imprint on a random woman.”
“She isn’t random. I dated her for a month.”
“A month and you could not tell that she is a witch?! How blind were you?”
“Stefan should have sensed something,”
“He is just as dumb as you are. You’re the reason that nana is in the hospital. We’ve been housing a traitor and you’ve been sleeping with a traitor. You opened the doors of this family to danger Jack! What kind of an alpha male puts his entire family in jeopardy just because he fell in love with a witch?!” She screamed at him.
“You should have sensed it a long time ago.”
“Yes, I should, only if I had an idea that I had powers like this inside of me.” They watched as Stefan drove into the mansion speedily, parking his car and running out immediately.
“What are you burning?” He asked still panting.
“Your brother’s imprint.”
“Why are you panting? What was chasing you or rather, who were you chasing?”
“Did you just say you’re burning Nelly?”
“You mean Sidonia?”
“That explains it all.”
“Explains what?” Stefan pointed to his car as a girl stepped down from the car and walked towards them.
“Nelly?” Jack asked as he walked towards her. He looked at her and then at the burnt body in the field. “Nelly, is that truly you?”
“Stand back Jack. We don’t want you bringing in a snake this time around.” Rose said as she walked past him and stood in front of Nelly.
“You look exactly the same as the witch Sidonia. Look me in the eyes.” She said. Nelly looked at her without breaking the eye contact.
Rose watched her, noticing that there was no dark cloud around her, but she felt a sense of peace and calmness that accompanied her.
“She’s pure.”
“Nelly what happened?” Jack rushed to her immediately hugging her so tight.
“Stefan where did you find her?”
“She came to the regional company. It was through our conversations that it dawned on me that she wasn’t the same Nelly I met a couple of hours back home. And she has green eyes that cannot go unnoticed, the witch has icy blue eyes that sends shivers down your spine. How did you guys find out?”
“Rosalia here has powers none of us knew about.”
“Rose? Powers?”
“It started with being able to control the electricity powers in a building, but today I sensed something very wrong when she walked into the room. It was as if a dark force had accompanied her and had filled the entire room. I saw right through her, this dark shadow that consumed all of her, her eyes held so much evil and she looked completely different from her normal self. I heard a whisper, it said to me, she sold her soul to the devil. I lost complete control of myself and anger took over, I don’t know how that came about but yes, we fought until I ripped her head off because she’s also a vampire.”
“What?!”
“Rose is telling the truth. She can morph into anything she wants to be. A witch, a damsel in distress, a vampire. She can be all of that, and I’m afraid that burning her alone will not solve the problem.”
“How do you mean?”
“The night of Dennis’s party, I was getting ready in my room when she came in. She’s not even the old lady you saw mine you, that’s just a house that she was hosted in. She’s a spirit, a dark spirit, that can’t be fought against with physical weapons. She slammed my head against the mirror, and completely numbed my powers and ability to transform into a werewolf. She had this dark snaky thing choke me around my neck that kept me stuck in one place. I watched her change into a new version of me, dressing exactly like I would dress. Her words to me, you will die, very soon. Slow and steady, her voice was this dark whisper that strengthened the power of whatever it was that held me by my neck. She also said, my mission is to finish up the Blancs, only then shall I return to where I have been called from.”
“Dominic summoned her.”
“I’m afraid not. Dominic does not have such great powers to summon a demon like her. My brother happened to be home by then and he had to memorise all sorts of spells before he could set me free, hence the mark you see on my neck.” They all stared at the red puffy marks that went round her neck.
“How do we stop her?”
“It’s powers versus powers. I went to a seer, Rose is the only one who can stop her.”
“Me?”
“Yes. But you’ll need help.”
“She has us, we can help her.”
“Not you guys, it’s someone else.” She said and all eyes were fixed on her while they tried to figure out who it was that could help them.
“A higher power summoned her. We have to figure out who owned such great powers,”
“Who do I need to solve this mystery?”
“It’s one whom you all detest so much.”
“No,” Jack said immediately stepping away from Nelly.
“It has to be him.”
“No!”
“Storm.”
“I said No! No way in hell would I join forces with that son of a killer !”
“Rose, Jack can be stubborn about this but you cannot. You cannot turn a blind eye to the situation at hand. It is not just the Reeds who are after your lives, your father has left a chunk of treasure that holds powers to this kingdom and all manner of wizards, werewolves, vampires, creatures seek after it. None of you should take it lightly,”
“You said it yourself that the Reeds are after our lives,”
“Storm is your ally. Storm and Susan.”
