Chapter Twenty-one

2002 Words
“Fire!” Storm yelled as he threw out the smoke bomb. Rose began to fire almost aimlessly because she was struggling with her eyes shut. “Go! Go! Go!” He yelled at the driver who now stepped on his gas and drove in high speed away from the guys. “We’re going to jump out and transform. I’ll lead you to the hotel.” “What? Owwww!!” She yelled. Looking down on her shoulder, she was bleeding profusely from being hit with a gun. “Damn! You’re bleeding.” “Forget that. Run your plan again, there is no time.” She yelled at him. “Here!” He put all of the papers and documents into a bag and hung it over his shoulders. “We have everything we need.” “Wait!” She pulled out papers from underneath her dress, “this belongs to me so keep your werewolf paws off it. Okay?” She put it in the bag. “Remember to change the plate number. Or better still, throw the car away.” “Yes boss!” The driver said. The looked behind them and noticed that some of the men were far behind, giving them the opportunity to jump out. “Now!” Storm held her hand and kicked the door of the car open jumping out with Rose and transforming into werewolves. They ran through the woods with Rose limping on her wounded leg, that was her arm that got shot during the shoot out. They stood afar as the watched the men run through the woods. “Find them!” They ran away into the woods and waited until the coast was clear. How do you feel? He asked her. Tired. I just need to rest, this is too strenuous on me. I’m only used to sitting at my desk everyday, signing papers. But now, I’m blowing bubbles and fighting crimes. Hilarious. He stepped on a stick, breaking it and the noise caught the attention of the leader. Shit. “Who’s there?!” He pointed his gun as he took calculated steps towards the direction of the movement. “Surrender !” He kept getting closer, but then a cat ran out of its hiding and he dropped his weapon. “Stupid furry animal.” He had one last look at the bushes before turning away. Whew! Rose said as she felt the anxiety drop away immediately. “We can’t find them boss, we’ve searched everywhere.” “Damn! They got away. Go! We must make sure that the boss is aware of the double crossing.” “He’s unconscious.” “He’s going to wake up you fool. Let’s go! Circle back at the restaurant.” Once they were all out of sight, Storm and Rose transformed back to humans, taking off their disguises. “Can you walk? We are not far from the hotel.” He said pointing at the massive building. “That’s definitely too far for me.” “Climb on then.” Storm said as he squatted in front of her, waiting for her to climb on. “You’re joking.” “Look, we need to be back in our hotel right now. Okay?” “I hate every second of this trip.” “Yeah, you’re welcome.” She rolled her eyes, reluctantly climbing on to his back. Storm wrapped his hands underneath her ass pushing her up to be in place. “Watch it.” “You will be uncomfortable this entire run. Bear with me for this is an uncomfortable and unwanted and unplanned…” “I get it. Move,” “Manners?” “Please Storm, move.” She said with a fake smile. “Much better.” With that, Storm ran through the woods extremely fast, but not as fast as a vampire. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “Do you even have any idea what you are you doing?” She yelled as he poured the methylated spirit on her wound making her scream. “If you just stayed out and given me a very more detailed direction, then maybe I would know what I am doing.” “First of all, take those,” she pointed at the pair of tenaculum in her first aid bag. “And gently open it, hold the end of the bullet with it and pull it out slowly.” “Okay, tena… tena what now?” “Who on earth is this guyyyyy,” she cried out when he asked again. “Those things that look like scissors!” She screamed . “Okay okay. Relax .” He picked up the tenaculum and gently held the end of the bullet. “Now, pull it ooooo….” She screamed as he dragged out the bullet with force, her blood spilling over. “What do I do? What do I do?” He asked anxiously, his hands shaking. “Storm I will kill you myself! I will kill you myself you bloody bastard!” She screamed. “Shut up and tell me what to do, why am I even bothering?” He picked up his phone, “What… what are you doing leaving my hand to bleed.” “Google. Searching up how to stop a bleeding from bullet wound.” “Is this guy for real? Are you for real?” “Pressure.” He looked around the room but couldn’t find anything. He tore off a sleeve of his shirt and tied it around her hand, making it tight in an attempt to stop the bleeding. He paused, waiting for a reaction, apart from a crying Rose. He noticed that the bleeding had stopped, “WHEW!” He said as he wiped away beads of sweat from his forehead. He noticed that Rose was staring daggers at him, “be grateful that the bullet is out and that the bleeding has stopped.” “f**k you.” “Respectfully, f**k you too.” With that they stayed quiet in the room. “What did you take out of Alejandro’s room?” He asked breaking the silence. “Nothing.” “Nothing?” “As in, it has nothing to do with you. It’s not your business, so it’s nothing to you.” She said immediately grabbing the bag and taking the papers out. “What are those?” “You’re searching for answers, I’m searching for answers. This, is not your problem, and neither should you be worried about it. Okay?” “What did you find in his room?” “You never said that your father and Alejandro go way back.” Her phone chimed beside her and she saw it was a message notification from Jack. “Someone looks mad.” She smirked as she picked the phone up. WHERE THE f**k ARE YOU ROSE?! CALL ME NOW MISS. She smiled at the text. “Your sneaky link texted you?” He asked noticing that smile on her face. “You did not answer my question.” She said to him as she took the golden card and placed it on the bed. She took a picture of it and sent it down to Jack as well. “Who are you sending that to?” “Jack. He’ll be so mad, but I do not care at all.” “You said that my father was friends with Alejandro?” “Seems like you did not know. That’s fine, you don’t have to bother about it then.” “Rose, you’re not saying something.” “Stick your nose where it’s needed. Your business.” She said as she got up from the bed. Her phone chimed again, Storm looked at the screen to read the chat in the notification. ROSALIA BLANC. WHERE THE f**k ARE YOU MADAM?! The phone chimed again and he looked at it. I’m calling you now, pick up. “Are you snooping through my phone?” “Who would have guessed that your full name is Rosalia?” “That jerk.” Her phone rang out immediately. It was an incoming FaceTime call from Jack. She sighed swiping to answer the call. A fuming Jack appeared on her screen while she kept smiling, “Dearest brother, it has been a while you know, that we last saw each other,” “Shut up and give me your current location.” “My mission is accomplished brother, you don’t need to come down.” “Where on earth did you go to? What did you do?! I thought that you went on a business trip with that son of a b***h?!” “I did, that’s what I sent to you.” “I warned them.” “Storm vouched for me.” “That is not why we sent you there.” “Oh, it isn’t? I thought it was why you did. Oh wait, you did not send me here. I came here on my own accord. Cut to the chase.” “You have to come home immediately. What was that text you sent.” “All the details are on there. Find out and bring me news. Goodbye.” “Did you kill anyone?” “I’ve gotten my hands, bloodied. There’s nothing you can do about it, get over it.” She said to him hanging up on the call. “I’m heading back to my room.” “No. You will stay here and tend to my wounded arm,” “You took c***k, didn’t you?” “Do I look like I’m cracking jokes?!” “Get out of my sight. How on earth will I stay here, in the same room with you!” “But you will. You didn’t provide a bullet proof vest and yet you worsen the state of my injury. It is now your responsibility until we’re out of here. Don’t force me, because I will make sure you don’t step out of this room in the most unlikely manner.” “Do your worst.” Storm was about to leave but then the lights began to flicker off and on until there was a complete blackout in all of the rooms and hallways in the hotel. “What the hell? How can this happen in a Reed enterprise.” He heard one of the occupants complain as they passed by the door of her room. “Fines I’ll stay. Just undo whatever it is that you just did.” “Good.” The lights came on instantly , “You’re crazy.” “I know,” she winked at him. “Now, I need an actual bandage on my arm, not this piece of shirt wrapped so unprofessionally,” “I’m wishing the bullet went through your brain, or maybe your mouth. Anything that would keep your mouth shut forever.” “Indirect way of saying that you don’t want the truth to come out.” “What truth?” “The truth that your father is a murderer.” “If I came to you,” he said as he looses the bandage, getting ready to wrap it around her arm. “And I said, your father is a murderer. What do you think your reaction is going to be?” “It’s a lie.” “So, how do you expect me to believe such so easily?” “Because he does not care about you. He caters about whatever your bring to him. When you stop listening to the whistle he blows every time, just watch him discard you like a used toilet paper.” “He can’t.” “You’re so unaware of the snake that you’re living with and that is really unfortunate. Well, I hope that your heart is able to cushion the blows that it’s going to receive the moment the truth comes to light.”
