Chapter Twenty

“Name?” The blonde receptionist asked her. “Angelina.” Rose said to her. The blonde girl stared at her intensively, while using her detector to search her body. “Turn around,” she said. Rose rolled her eyes, turning around. “Clean. Your pass? Here to see Alejandro, am I correct?” “Spot on.” Rose handed her the fake documents and ID. “He’s inside already.” Rose turned around to wait for Storm, watching as the manager repeated the same routine on him. “Have we met before?” The blonde girl asks. “No, I doubt that.” “I have strong feeling of familiarity, coming from you.” “You work in a restaurant, coupled with a highly busy underworld, you’ve met tons of people. You’re probably mistaking me for someone else.” “I see.” Rose made sure to maintain the low tone as the real Angelina has been described to have. “Let’s go.” Storm says as he stands beside her. Rose gives the blonde girl a fake smile as Storm opens the door for her to walk in. Once they were on the busy ground with everyone walking up and about, they stand beside each other, scanning the entire area. “Eyes on the target?” “Sighted. Usual position, right bodyguards.” “Begin plan one of the action. Where is the substance?” She reaches inside her purse and pulls out the neatly wrapped powdered substance and puts it in his hand immediately. “Now. You wait here while I make arrangements with the waiter.” “Roger that.” Rose felt as her feet felt extremely cold, as if the blood in her feet had dried up. Her hands began to to fidget, as the fear began to creep in.? Fear will become your greatest enemy if you let it control you, and not you controlling it. Storm’s words to her , she remembered it as if he was saying it again. She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. A waiter passed with a tray of drinks and she immediately took a glass out, gulping down the very cold wine. “Tastes like strawberry, so sweet to the tongue but leaves a sour taste after. Eeeuurrrghhhh” she put the glass back in another passing tray. “Okay Rose, you are Angelina at this point. All of your life, you have always been a winner. You have never backed down, this won’t be any different.” She mentally cheered herself on. “Eyes on the target, remember, you stand to gain the respect of your brothers. That’s your goal here.” She says to herself. Storm returns to her, “It’s show time.” Together, they walk towards Alejandro’s table. They are stopped by the body guards, that repeat a second round of search. They find a gun in the back pocket of Storm, “We all carry a gun for safety purposes.” He said as he raised his hand in defense. The guard threw the gun to another guard and they both were let in to the inner section of the V. I. P area. “Alejandro!” Rose exclaimed as she sat beside him. Although he was surrounded by some women, dressed in lingerie and the likes, she pushed through them, securing a seat beside him. “Angelina! My baby!” He says as he plants a kiss on her cheek. Rose felt like giving him a hard punch to his jaw, but immediately restrained herself. “I’ve missed you. I thought you would not agree to my offer, but here you are.” He said laughing. “You rejected my offer because of that fool standing over there,” “Oh Alejandro, I had to convince him. That’s besides the point, I am here now.” She said smiling at him. “So, what do you have for big daddy?” He said as blew out smoke from his mouth, “First of all,” she said as she played with the buttons on his shirt. “I don’t like them.” She said giving the girls a dirty look. “These ones? Oh come on, they should not threaten you,” “I’m not threatened by them,” the girls gave her a very dirty and annoying look, like they were about to rip her apart into pieces, but she didn’t care. Initiate step two of the plan. She heard Storm’s voice from the hearing device in her ear. She looked at him, but he didn’t move a muscle, only his spikes spoke volumes to her. “See, I came all the way here for you, the least you can give to me, is your undivided attention.” “So, the ladies should leave?” “No, we should leave,” she whispered in his ear. “I have a lot planned out for the both of us.” Alejandro had a grin that could not be hidden on his face. “Sorry ladies, a higher demand has been placed on my head and it cannot be ignored. Go enjoy yourselves,” He stood up to his feet, lifting Rose with him. Rose winked at Storm, “If my women stay, your guy stays.” “He had no issue with that. We had already discussed that on our way here.” “Excellent. After you my lady,” “What room are we going to?” She asked making her voice loud enough for Storm to hear her. “My suite, the biggest room on the first floor.” “Does it have a room number?” “05 is the number.” “Okay baby.” She said as she followed him into his room. He swiped his card over the door handle and they both got into the room. She looked at all the artifacts hanging up in the room. He walked over to his bed while she touched on all the artifacts, “These are beautiful.” “Angela, you’ve always good eyes for things.” “Is this a history of some sort?” “The history of werewolves.” He said as he stood behind her, grabbing her waist and kissing her. Rose felt extremely uncomfortable, so she pushed away from him. “Is there a problem?” He asked. “No! No problem at all. I was just thinking, if you could rinse away the smell of cigarette, it makes me very nauseous,” she said to him. “You’re a stoner!” “I visited the doctor earlier today, I have some type of tummy sickness.” “Why didn’t you say so earlier?” “Didn’t think it was important.” “Your voice sounds a little bit different,” “Came down with a regular flu,” “Not been your best day, has it?” “Highly doubt it has,” “Okay. You wait here while I go into the bathroom to freshen up.” “While you’re at it, I’ll order us a drink. Bills on me,” she said winking at him. “Oh am I not the luckiest man alive? I’m surprised that you have not even pushed to sign those documents,” “You are my priority tonight.” “Well, because of that I will sign those documents. Let me step out of the shower first of all.” He said as he locked himself in the bathroom. The clock is ticking aggressively. I’m sending the drink now. “Okay.” She replied to Storm. She waited around the room, searching for anything that she could find but she was disappointed. Or she thought she was disappointed. His phone chimes and she sees a text message from Dominic Reed. “The goods are being delivered. Have your men pick it up tomorrow, unfailingly. This is the address.” Rose immediately takes a picture of the chat and sends it to Jack, her brother. She’s pushed to search for more clues, so she sets her phone, on the table and presses the record button. Placing it in a hidden place, then she searches through his cabinets and clothes and the rest when she stumbles on papers. The Blancs. It read. She quickly folded the papers and put it under her dress. She looks for more clues and there she finds a picture of her father and Dominic, and Alejandro. “They knew each other?” She thought to herself. She took the picture and hid it in her as well. There was a knock on her door so she hurried, being frightened. “Angelina? Who’s there?” “Our drink.” She answered to him. “This glass is not spiked so he doesn’t suspect you,” the waiter whispered to her handing her a glass of the same wine. “Thank you,” she mouthed. She grabbed a wine glass sitting on his cabinet and poured him a glass of wine. It is almost time Rose. Do it now! “Alejandro, are you washing away your sins?” She asked as she set the table. “I’m out already,” he said stepping out with water dripping from his body. “Let’s have a drink first before anything,” she said as she waited for him to come sit. “You’re way more excited than the Angelina that I know of,” “Let’s say the scales have fallen from my eyes and I see things from your point of view as well.” “It’s good to see that you listened to me.” He said as he sat down. She presented his wine to him, “After the wine, bring the papers to me and I’ll sign them.” He said to her. “If that’s what you want.” “You’re being a good girl, so why not?” Rose sat beside him, rubbing his head as he drank the wine. She watched him finish it in one gulp, “That’s a good boy.” He shook his head as he felt a strange way in his body. “This wine is way too strong,” “It sets the mood for the night.” His vision was beginning to blur away. Rose hurriedly got the papers and pen and placed it before him. “Do you feel weird from the wine Angie? I feel strange.” In sixty seconds, it will all be a waste! “I drank my wine and I’m fine, you’re probably just overthinking,” she said in a hurry, her heart beating faster and her palms sweatier. “Where… where… where do I sign?” He asked still fighting to stay sober. “Here.” She said as she pointed. Come on, come on you old fool. She said in her mind waiting impatiently for him to sign the papers. He signed on the first page, the second, and the third and final page. Falling into the table, a loud bang. We’ve done it. She said to Storm. Get out through the window. They’re coming after us. He said to her. Hey you! Get back here! Who are you! The call disconnected. She heard footsteps rushing to where she was. She quickly grabbed her phone and the papers and opened the windows. “Where are they?!” She could hear them getting closer. She looked back at her and the door swung open, the began to open fire at her but she jumped to the ground before any bullet could hit her. “After them!” The leader commanded and all the men went running after her. “In here!” Storm yelled as the car pulled up in front of her. The door was left hanging open and she jumped in. The door speeding off, breaking away the locked gate and taking off with so much speed. “Mission accomplished!” “It’s accomplished as long as we have escaped tonight alive and without being traced. Don’t take the disguise off yet, get ready. It’s time to put those shooting skills to practice.” He said as he handed her a loaded submachine gun. Rose took off the heels she wore, and lifted her dress up, pulling out the hand gun strapped on her thighs. “Let the fun begin.” She said as the poked their heads out of the roof top of the car, firing arms at the vehicles and men coming after them. “There’s so many of them,” “Nothing a little smoke can’t fix. Close your eyes!”
