Chapter Fourteen

2104 Words
“Where are you going?” Jack asked when he saw Rose drag her suitcases with her. “I’m going on a mini holiday with my boyfriend. Any problem?” “Since when did you have a boyfriend and how come I’m just hearing about him?” “Hmm, since the day you can imprint on a random girl and I’ll find out weeks later. That sounds fair doesn’t it?” “Who is he?” “I’m going on a business trip Jack. Don’t question me, I don’t like it.” “Business trip? To where? With whom?” “That is none of your business. Just be prepared to let me in on the full proof plan to terminate Dominic.” “Are you still mad about cutting you off from the businesses?” “Am I still mad? Is that really a question?! I work myself day and night to ensure that nothing goes wrong. I find out from a total stranger that my brothers are running companies in the underworld that I’m unaware of and I have to prove to them that I’m more than capable of dealing with the harsh consequences.” “It was father’s wish.” “Yeah right. More like you’re scared that I’ll handle it far better than you just like I’m doing right now.” “Watch how you talk to me.” “I will talk to you in whatever manner that I want to since you obviously can treat me however way that you want to.” “I didn’t want any of these,” “Did I ask for it too? Did I ask that father should die?” “It’s your fault that he’s dead Rose! All he ever wanted to do for you was make you happy, make you enjoy life that you’re so good at sucking the life out of. Father cared so much about you. Rose this, Rose that. Your sister this, your sister that. I got tired of hearing these every day of my life. No wonder Storm hates you so much and you’re very much single to this day. You tend to overshadow other people pushing them into the dark, and taking all the praise for it.” Rose nodded her head with a smirk on her face, “Thank you brother, for the first time you’ve said exactly what you think of me.” With that she walked out of the building while Jack hit against the rails completely ripping it off from the ground, making him more furious. “You do know that she’s traveling with Storm right?” “I crossed the line.” “Like I’ve always said, when it comes to the both of you I’d rather not involve myself. It’s understandable. You’re both naturally bound to struggle for power. I’ll like to add one thing. Imagine father told Rose about all of the companies, and then said to her not to inform Jack because he doesn’t want his hands to get dirty. What do you think your reaction would be? How would you feel?” With that Stefan left him alone. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “At your service,” Storm said smiling as she got on the plane. “Shut up.” “Are you okay?” “You know, the more you speak to me, the more irritated I get. Are you truly an Alpha?” “Why are you asking me such a useless question?” “I hardly believe that you are one. You blindly follow your old fool of a father,” “That is no way to speak of my father,” “Oh it is the very best way to speak of him. He’s a murderer… hold on, why am I even fighting words with you when you’re his son! Of course you’ll be on his side. After all birds of the same feathers flock together.” “Don’t take me kindness for weakness,” “Oh please don’t give me that crap. You can’t even compare to my brother, Jack. Jack has a mind of his own. Before he even took over the position of the Alpha male of my family, he was already at logger heads with my father. Typical alpha family. But you! You can’t even stand up to that old bastard. It’s always, yes daddy, okay daddy, as you say daddy, yen yen yen,” she said mocking him. Storm sat in silence looking at Rose as she blabbed on insulting his very being. “Ever since your mother died you became a shadow of yourself. You don’t know your right from your wrong, and even if you do, you won’t do it because you know your old man will snatch away your inheritance and give it to those monkeys.” “Just look at how you sucked up to me, even getting me flowers?! Storm act like your name for goodness sake!” “You think that I don’t live a life worthy to be called an Alpha male?” “Not think. I know that you don’t live a life worthy to be called an Alpha male. You’re still the same little boy I knew whose father caused him to shiver.” “I guess you are right. I’m more of a lone wolf.” Storm said to her and looked outside the window. “You know, i never wanted to be this way either. But if it prevents me from pouring out my trauma on innocent people then I don’t mind. Since, you think I am not worthy to be called an Alpha Male Rose Blanc, I will show you what an Alpha male truly is like.” And that was the last thing he said on the plane completely fixing his eyes on the newspaper he had in his hand, not paying any mind to Rose. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “You’re welcome sir.” The guests at the hotel welcomed Storm. Rose watched as everyone scurried about trying to set everything in place. She noticed the name of the Hotel, Storm Reeds Hotels. “Miss?” Everyone stood staring at Rose in shock. They were all shocked that A Blanc and Reed were walking together, in the same company. “Have you all lost your ability to speak and walk?” Storm asked them in an authoritative tone. “No… no sir! It’s just that we had no idea you’d be here with a guest, we prepared only one suite.” Storm raised his head up from his phone, sizing the manager up and down, “So, out of all the rooms in this building, only one is available?” “Nnnooo sir. There are others.” “And you’re brain is so slow that you can’t get one room ready?” “Yyyyeees sir! I mean no sir!” The poor man said frightened, almost peeing his pants. “Well then, take the lady to her room. No excuses.” The manager and the rest of the workers hurriedly took Rose’s bags and led her to her room which was directly beside Storm’s. She walked into her room looking all around it, “Not bad, not bad.” She said as she fell into the bed feeling exhausted. Before she knew it, she dozed off into a deep sleep. Storm sat in his bed, loosening the knot of his tie while he reflected on the words that Rose said to him. Ever since your mother died, you became a shadow of yourself. It’s always yes daddy, okay daddy. Storm walked into his inner room, taking off his shirt he stood in front of the punching bag. He folded his hand into a fist, taking his stance against the punching bag. You’re a good for nothing! His father took out his leather belt wiping him on his back. He wasn’t allowed to cry, he wasn’t allowed to show any type of emotions. His brothers would stand by the side, laughing at him. “You good for nothing bastard! I’m so glad your mother died! Why didn’t she carry you away with her! She couldn’t even give me more children!” Were the only words Storm ever heard from his father. With every memory that flashed before him, the more anger he felt punching the bag so hard. The light glistened against his skin, revealing all the marks inflicted by his father. Inflicted by him. Storm had been dealing with a serious case of depression and identity crisis. “My son will not be admitted into the mental hospital! He will come home with me!” His father dragged him out of the therapist’s office. “You’re an embarrassment! You can never amount to anything good! Depression?! You’re depressed?! What makes you depressed? I will give you something to be depressed about. Just take a look at Rose. She always beats you, and you’re a boy! You’re letting a mere Luna take over, aren’t you ashamed of yourself?!” All his life, he was always compared to Rose, never had he been praised for anything at all. He remembers the day he first cut on himself. He sat in his room that night, while his father kept cursing him on the outside. He could hear his step mother instigating more things against him. Little Storm, just twelve years back then sat on the floor of his dark room, shutting his eyes and wanting the earth to just swallow him up. He remembers seeing the blade glistening , and he took it. He kept staring at the blade, turning it, and turning it, until this thoughts began to feel like his reality. You’re good for nothing. You can never amount to anything. Rose is better than you. A Luna doing far better than an Alpha. What an abomination. You came second again! Can’t you do better?! Yet, Storm is the only one with a degree in the family, only because Susan is not done yet. Storm moved from punching the bag because he needed physical pain. He turned to the wall, and began to punch it. He didn’t stop, he kept hitting, and hitting, and hitting until his knuckles felt broken and the wall was stained with blood from his bruised knuckles. Just do it. Kill yourself. Do it! The words became stronger and stronger as the time passed by. He began to hyperventilate reaching for his pockets he took out his pills. But his vision became extremely blurry and then everything became pitch black. Rose woke up to find that time had already gone far. “I slept for this long?!” She exclaimed jumping out of bed. “Do I freshen up first or… let me go and meet him first.” She went over to his room and knocked on his door. “Storm.” She called out knocking on his door. “Storm open the door it’s Rose.” But there was no response. “What on earth is wrong with him?!” She kept knocking . She pushed the door knob down to open the door and found out that it wasn’t even locked. “He’s capable of protecting himself so what can I say.” She looked around the room but didn’t find him. “Did he step out?” She thought to herself as she turned to leave but she noticed something in the inner room. “Storm?” She called out as she approached the door to the inner room. She pushed the door to find him unconscious, laying on the floor with the pills scattered in his hand. She picked the pills up and recognized them immediately. “Anxiety pills?” She shook him, lifting him up and pulling him to his bed she kept tapping him, rubbing his palm and his feet. “Storm! This is not a nice joke. Snap out of it” “Water.” She hurriedly ran the water into the glass and sprinkled it on his face. He squeezed his eyes turning his head, I said I’m sorry!!!!! He screamed jumping up in bed. Rose stared at him in shock while he sat panting. “Storm?” He turned to face her, his eyes wide, his chest rising and falling very fast. “Are you good?” “Get out.” “Storm?” “I said get out now!” He yelled at her. “Are you sick?!”
