Chapter Seven

“Dennis you cannot be serious! This deal was mine! Mine!” “Yours?! I signed the deal with him first you client thief!” Storm argued. They continued arguing behind Dennis until they were outside the party with less noise. “Client thief?! Just take a look at this second class low life?! Son of a murderer!” “What did you call me?” His eyes became hooded as he stepped in front of Rose. “You heard me right. Son of a murderer.” She stepped in front of him too poking his chest with her right index finger, letting the words roll of her tongue in a fine manner. “Who the hell do you think you are to go around throwing blameless accusations and dragging my name, my fathers name in the mud?!” “What do you want to do? Huh? Kill me like your father killed my father?!” Rose said pushing him hard against his chest. “Don’t let me lose my patience!” Storm gritted his teeth, folding his hands into a ball of fist. “Lose it! Then maybe everyone can truly see you for the dogs that you and your bastard family are!” “Alright that’s enough!” Dennis said in anger growling at the both of them and stepping in between them pushing them away from each other. “I will not have you bring your generational hatred and foolishness into my dignified and honourable party! You will not make a mockery of me before the elders! Am I understood?!” “Dennis, why did you call us partners?!” Rose asked looking away from Storm who’s eye colored had completely changed to golden yellow, and was a second away from pouncing on Rose and ripping her head off. “You did not read the papers you signed, right?” “That’s because you went over the contents of the contract with me and assured me that nothing was missing.” “Exactly the same thing you said to me Dennis!” Storm said as changed the color of his eyes back to brown and stepped closer to Dennis. “I missed out on a vital part of that information because I am very well aware of the history you both have,” “That is exactly why you should never have done whatever you did!” “Your companies are different but at the same time you complement each other! I need both of your services to make this contract work out with the rest of my clients. So, from today onwards, until the termination of this contract you are to work hand in hand with each other!” “There is absolutely no way that I will agree to work hand in hand with the son of the man who murdered my father!” Rose said in anger as she stormed off. “Then say goodbye to your current clients, and fifty percent shares of your company.” Dennis said to her, stopping her in her tracks. Rose turned on her heels with her head tilted to the side, and her blood boiling hot, “Say that again?” “You terminate the contract, and you lose fifty percent shares of your company, to Us.” “To you? And to a Reed?! Dennis!” “All is fair in love and war my princess. You cannot double cross me in my business. It’s my business and it will run on my terms. Understood?” “Arrrggghhhhh!” She screamed stomping away like a little child who was refused her candy. “Excellent.” “Rose! Where were you? We’ve been looking for you,” Stefan said to Rose whose face had a rather displeasing frown on it. “Rose? What’s the problem?” He asked following her as she had picked up a speed in her walking and her eyes were flicking back and forth between green and yellow and ocean blue. “You!” She said poking her finger on his chest. “You stay away from me! Don’t talk to me, avoid me. You you you! And Jack!” “Jack is occupied by his new imprint.” “Jack imprinted and I’m just finding out?!” She yelled at Stefan, attracting the attention of people around them. “Well…” “What… don’t worry about it. All of you just go to hell!” She said pouring Stefan’s drank on his suit. “Hey!” He exclaimed getting a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe his wet suit while Rose went over to the drink stand pouring herself a glass of vodka, no mixtures. She gulped the first one in one go, and the second, and the third, until the bottle was gone and she went for the second bottle popping it open. “Someone seems broken? Never thought that a day would come where I’d see a Blanc shamelessly drunken herself in the public,” Storm said smirking at her. Roses eyes were red from the effect of the two bottles of vodka she finished up. Her eyes changed colors to green and yellow, “Yeah, I’ll just go now. Can’t have you ruin my suit.” With that he walked away from her not looking back. She used her fist to hit the table breaking it into two and having all of the drinks and glasses fall and smash on the ground. Everyone got attracted to the scene gathering around her murmuring amongst themselves. “My Denelli Italian table!” Dennis exclaimed as soon as he reached the scene and saw the mess. “Rose! What did you do?” Rose looked around her to find that everyone had their eyes fixed on her, with irritation written all over their faces. She felt the room become smaller, and her heart beat faster, she felt like the air was being sucked away from her and she was losing her stability. She knew that her panic attack was coming on, she had tears in her eyes already, her palms sweaty, she didn’t want to remain there anymore. “I’m… sorry.” She fled the scene, running without looking back. She stood beside her car, taking in deep breaths every second as she tried to stabilise herself. She reached for her keys but she was extremely weak and clumsy as she was already under the influence of eighty percent alcohol. Forty percent in each of the bottles she drank without any sort of mixture. “Look who we have here boys,” Rose looked up to see someone, her vision was blurred and she felt extremely weak, “never thought that she’d walk right into my hands.” She recognised the voice, it belonged to her arch enemy, Robin Reed. “Stay… stay… stay away Ro.. bin.” She stammered as she tried holding on to her car for support. “Just take a look at her,” Robin laughed in a mocking tone, “still thinking that she’s the fiery princess,” he said as he stepped close to her, putting his hands on her. Rose slapped his hand away with the little strength she had in her and he grabbed her hand, twisting her wrist, “Where are your little brothers? They aren’t here to save you? Huh? Proud little bastards with no mommy and daddy,” Robin said as he leaned into her breathing on her neck. She had goosebumps on her skin as fear enveloped her, “Leave me!” “Look at that,” Robin said in a victorious tone, “the great Rose Blanc is at my mercy. My mercy!” He forced his lips on her as she struggled to free herself but his grip and hold was far stronger than hers. She had tears in her eyes streaming down her face, screaming for help while his mouth was deep in hers, his hands roaming freely on her body. His friends gathered around them, making sure no one made a move to help her out. Storm came out of the building and noticed them. He knew they were friends of Robin, and they were not fond of each other in any way. He looked at them, and with his wolf vision, he saw that something wrong was happening. He pretended to be passing their way, looking at them. “Just keep moving,” one of them said. Storm heard a scream for help come from inside and he looked at them and they looked at him stepping towards him, “Keep. Moving.” “You know, that’s not my scene, I want to see what’s going on in there,” “There’s no need.” “It is my business, I’m sure that Robin is involved.” “It’s the enemy’s daughter so move along.” “I don’t care who it is. Move from my way.” Storm said in a warning tone. “Move from my way or else I will move you myself and you know how ugly that can get.” He said folding up the sleeves of his suit and shirt. “I’m sure Robin has told you what I’m capable off, even without the strength of an alpha. Don’t provoke me.” Reluctantly they parted ways for him and he watched as Robin forced her to the ground unbuckling his belt, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Robin turned his head around to see Storm. He rolled his eyes in anger, “Can’t you just mind your damn business?” “Get away from the girl.” His voice was deeper and the veins on his hand bulged out, his eye color changing. “It’s the enemy for Pete’s sake!” “It will cost us! Get away from her now!” “No!” Robin forced himself down in Rose trying to force himself into her. Storm didn’t waste a second throwing a hard blow on Robin’a head. He fell so hard hitting his head on the concrete floor and passing out. “Get him out of here!” Storm ordered his friends. They scurried away with his unconscious body looking back in fear at Storm. Storm turned around to walk away but he noticed that Rose wasn’t moving, she just laid motionless even though her eyes were open and she was still breathing.
